Who misses the list?
Z, any chance you'll be posting some pics of your Blobpus collection? It might make me reconsider bidding on the auction if you can blow me away...

As I said, I was just confused. I'm not really worried about you paying; you have paid me for things in the past.
Honestly, as far as ebay is concerned, there really are no "rules" as far as I am concerned. High bid wins...it's as simple as that. That being said, I don't bid on certain people's auctions (like my man Plover) because I know he won't bid on auctions I am bidding on, and he has helped me find things in the past.
khanate--I'm working on some pics. I don't have every "older" blobpus (hence my bidding!). See my want list! Missing like five. I have all the blobpi minus the kaiju glow ones, argh! And I had all the LK and dokugans but they were just taking up too much room...hence the sale I had recently. Still have plenty though...

Uh oh...
Z, I just checked your want list and I'm missing the exact same blobpus as you.
Happy hunting.

I'm starting to think everyone is missing these. What's worse is that I passed on at least two of these a year ago...haven't seen them since.

Alcohol and auctions are a bad combination.
Nothing like accidentally adding an extra zero to your auction bid.

I'm too busy to watch auctions pretty regularly. I just bid what I'm willing to spend for the item and if I win, I win, if not, someone else wanted it more.

I always just place my max bid and then walk away. if I win cool, if not, it was more than I would pay.

Those types of bidders are called "nibblers" and are the bane of ebay sellers.
As are ebay bidders who intentionally overbid on an item to find out what the reserve is, only to cancel their bids with the lame-ass excuse of " I meant to type in $50 not $500. (These bidders get reported to ebay and their bid retractions are tracked)
Also tons of fun... bidders who pm you to find out what your reserve is and promise to bid on the item, then don't.
Bidders who offer you $ to end the auction early offering you half the amount the auction would/will probably generate.
Bidders who contact you after the auction is over and no winning bids have been placed to offer you a "better price" then don't.
Bidders who have placed the auction on watch the entirety of the auction but somehow didn't get home in time to place a bid (even tho the auction has been up a week)
If there is an item on Ebay that you truly want.. the best thing to do is to either:
1. Bid the highest amount you would (sanely) pay for the item, if you win, great if not...oh well
2. Wait until the very last minute with all the other bidders who have placed the item on their watch list and watch the flurry of last minute activity.
Keep in mind that there will always be someone out there who wants the vinyl more than you do and makes twice your monthly salary in a week....
There is always someone out there willing and able to pay more .
