It ships in January 2008, but it's eligible for free holiday shipping.

Just opened my Jedi Starfighter with Hyperdrive Ring. Impressions...
The good: Hyperdrive ring is nicely detailed, is big enough for the fighter to fly through it, and the fighter fits firmly into it.
The not so good: Once assembled, you can't take the ring apart to stow it, and the little clear plastic dixie cup they provide with you to display it is substandard. I'm going to hang it from the ceiling anyway.
Overall, I'm happy with the purchase.

One of the founders of that site is Richard Cox, who runs Club Tokyo along with Mike Johnson.

Fellow SW geeks: I've decided I need some Plo Koon for my shelf.
I'm considering either the Sideshow 12", or the Gentle Giant mini-bust.
I know it's kind of an apples vs. oranges choice, but does anyone here have any input/recommendations?
Thanks!

To mark their 50th anniversary, Lego rereleases an OG Lego set - Not SW, but my childhood would've been very different without Lego!

I think SS bodies suck for the price, but the head sculpt and extras on this are choice. It just depends, are you gonna want 1 awesome pose all the time (Gentle Giant) or multiple, yet limited, poses (SS.)

Yeah, I hear you. The one review I was able to find of the Sideshow said that while the sculpt, clothing and accessories are great, the posing is somewhat limited (and apparently, it has issues standing up on its own in many poses, due to the ankle joint range of motionbeing limited by the boots). For that money, I want good poseability. I'm leaning, I think, towards the GG bust. It's only a little bit more dough, and the sculpt and paint ops seem better.

Every year I look at the big box of un-carded Star Wars figures I have just lying around, and say "enough." And then, something like this happens:

Holy crap, they're making an R7!
Also, here's a 10 MB Quicktime movie of the AT-TE:
