 Re: eBay Problem
The toys we all collect have, comparatively, a very small fan base. If said seller is a member of this board, this incident would surely damage this persons reputation, and certainly make it more difficult for them to buy/sell/trade within our small fan base. This being said, if I was this seller, I would certainly do my best to "find" this "lost" item upon reading this thread. Being publicly exposed would no doubt make their favorite hobby more difficult. I'm assuming they've been following this thread.

 Re: eBay Problem
it would seem they are reading this forum from an observational standpoint....just the convenience of it all.

 Re: eBay Problem
A couple key points here:
1. This was an ebay transaction, not an SB transaction, so you should be taking care of it there. Also, you were refunded, which means you did not get ripped off, just inconvenienced. While a bummer, and lame, technically nothing you can go after.
2. For all the cries of "out the guy" no one really knows if "Tommy" is telling the truth or not. I misplace boxes of toys all the time, and have had people send me the wrong toys as well. Once again, unless a pattern of behavior happens, you can't lynch anyone for a mistake.
3. Gang mentality sucks. Don't jump onto a bandwagon until the facts are known, in this case, it was only one side of a story so far, so please don't jump to conclusions.
4. I am glad that you did not post the real name, that would have probably gone too far. I am glad that it resolved itself, but regardless, a person can be a jerk (plenty of us are) but that doesn't mean they are dishonest. We all know Joe as a straight up guy, but miscommunications and mistakes are common, and things could have happened on the other end.
So, for the board as a whole, until we have guilty verdict, please hold off on the lynching. (and BTW I still have no idea who "Tommy" is.)

 Re: eBay Problem
Brian: All of these are great points that you brought up. Just wanted to address them.
1. It was indeed an eBay transaction. However, considering the fact that the same person has been selling off a few RxH pieces on SB lately, I didn't want to open up a sales thread one day to see him selling the same thing I won. I indeed got refunded. I didn't complain about being frauded.
2. I do give people benefit of the doubt. If they tell me that they honestly misplaced it and can't find it, I'll believe them. But if you misplaced it and searched for it, you should technically be able to find it. That's if you still had it in the first place. But why sell something you don't have on hand ready to ship?
3. Gang mentality DOES suck. But it does get some results. In this case, pressure was put on the seller to do the right thing.
4. I did not post the board name publicly because this would have definitely "ruined" his reputation here on the boards. But considering how small the community of collectors are, most people know who everyone is. We know who the jerks are. IMO, they're usually the honest ones as they have nothing to hide. It's the nice people that you have to be wary of.
5. Happy Belated Birthday.
Anyways, long story short, I'm glad that this got resolved the way it did. I think this may be my longest post ever.

 Re: eBay Problem
Joe,
This was not completely directed at you, but "thread" and subject in general for the future. Glad that everything worked out, and the boxes of toys I may be misplacing may not be anything any of us want any ways.....
