And leg warmers with high-heels! a girl can wear anything, even a paper bag but as long as they have heels on they are a total babe. I beg to differ Gross. She kind of looks like a tranny in that pic. I can't believe we are discussing AA. Must be a slow day.

If I wasn't married I'd use the old "say the figure sucks so other people don't get into it" strategy but I've got no need at this point. Pair those suckers up with some super-tight jeans or a short skirt and there are few things better in life.

 Re: American Apparel
Barf. I hate all this 80s throw-back crap - probably the ugliest decade in history. Maybe chicks can wear some NFL sized shoulder pads with their leg warmers.

he looks confused. I think people should wear whatever they want. if they want man-cleavage I say go for it. If they feel comfortable in it more power to them.

I've never owned a pair but then I never found one in my size everytime I tried them on. What's not to like though? Built like a tank, light as hell, comfy and can get wet. My daughter swears by them and she's a tough shoe customer like her father.

 Re: American Apparel
Ha. Totally Agree.
Crocs are definitely the most un-cool thing around...but I like em. And life's a lot easy when you are done trying to be cool.

 Re: American Apparel
My problems with American Apparel: They claim to be a socially conscious brand, made by americans for americans. Their advertising is near-porno photos of waifs draped over couches as if in an opium haze. Turns out these are "not models" but sometimes just girls that work retail for AA in NYC. Anyway, their all american clothes are made at minimum wage by legal immigrants (not naturalized yet, just legal) AND they give medical benefits.
I feel as an organization giving medical benefits and hiring legal workers is just decent, not something you use to sell your brand to the eco-hip.
I make t-shirts, but they don't give very good wholesale rates to smaller clients. I'd love to be sure I wasn't using sweatshop labor products. but at over $14 wholesale for men's tees from AA, I can't use them. Their product is quality, but I still hate them and their marketing department.

 Re: American Apparel
That's Mario Batali..and I assume that is his daughter with him? There is definitely a family resemblance.

 Re: American Apparel
It makes sense that professional cooks and nurses wear crocs on the job, as many do. It makes less sense when Batali wears them as "fashion," but then, Mario can do whatever he wants, and does. I don't think he gives a hoot about looking cool. That dude in the green plunging v-neck AA thing looks like Mister Ultra Dork. It clashes with the generic anchor tattoo and the potentially Ian Curtis-like visage. Manboobs are the least of his worries. At least wear a t-shirt under that thing.

 Re: American Apparel
For the record: I love American Apparel t shirts. They fit me well as someone who has a tough time because i'm between an L and an XL. But I can understand why people don't like them. Also I think girls look great in anything AA.

Some good points up in here, but in the end, I think this says all that needs to be said:

 Re: American Apparel
uberboy: for me, the fact it's unbranded is a huge part, and it's a lot cheaper than buying some brand shit made sweatshop, especially across the pond where often we're paying more £ then you pay $ for something. or at least equal anyway.
i HATE that it's hip (in london) to buy AA. i buy it cos it's plain and it fits and it's relatively cheap and it's ethical.
ps: i have no idea who that guy is, it's carl's photo from the LA dehara show a while back. the practicality of crocs for nurses etc is good yes. but outside that sphere? uh oh
