Bah...Sony tried to region lock PS2s. All that did was make a market for chips which in one sense, made it worse for Sony because the chips made it so your PS2 could play burned copies of games (thank you for supporting the black market). On the other hand, tons of people bought PS2s. I don't know if this is one of the reasons PS3s are only region coded for Blu-ray because you can play Asian versions of PS3 games without having to modify your PS3...and download Japanese content to your US PS3. With Nintendo making the hardware coded, it just opens the chip market once again and people will be able to play whatever game they want on whatever DSi they have. Companies say they region code the consoles to help cut down on black market games. I think it does the opposite.

In other derailment news....I finally got Shawnimal's Ninja Town; I totally suck at RTS/MM, but it's a fun little game!

I got a blue one, still haven't had a lot of time to play with it, but it is fun. Hopefully the hardware improvements make for some better looking/playing games.

Also, I'm very excited about the downloadable games and content coming to DSi Ware, rumor is that there will be a Virtual Console equivalent for the DSi, allowing you to download GBA games.

When you sign on to the dsi shop they give you 1000 point free which will get you 2-3 games. The warioware one will use the camera but can be tough, check them out.

I didn't really see anything that caught my eye right away, the Warioware one might be fun though.

I hope they're really on top of adding new content like they are with Wii Ware and Virtual Console.

of course everyone gets excited about the next new nintendo items (like me), but aside from a slightly larger screen and a camera (which i would probably/personally never even use) - i'm happy as hell with my ds lite. i'll wait and see what they come up for the 4th generation.

Yeah. Got a Lite when they first dropped.
The big N are not gonna get me to shell out again so soon unless i accidentally drop mine or lose it.
Don't think software designed with the camera in mind will be my type of gameplay. Never know though.
Downloadable indy content could be cool.

New Zelda looks repetitive. Especially traveling on train tracks.
Really liked the ocean sailing in Windwaker on the Gamecube.

Need a new Zelda on the Wii that is re-designed from the ground up.
Something completely fresh and new.

i was thinking about getting one of these, but ended up just buying a game boy micro off a friend for 20 bucks. nothing beats playing pokemon fire red, super mario world, rampage and zelda. ill probably wait out till the next nintendo portable comes out and will probably end up getting that one.
