Re: The Walking Dead television series!!!! The trailer they showed at the panel (and later the show floor) was one of my favorite things to come out of Comicon this year. There are crappy bootlegs floating around but I'm hoping AMC will make it available for everyone. The AMC website has some clips from the panel online now. http://www.amctv.com/originals/The-Walking-Dead/They've really assembled a dream team that has a lot of respect for the material. Greg Nicotero's team on makeup, Bear McCreary on music, and a lot of my favorite directors have me super excited for the show.

Generally I wait for seasons to end and get them on DVD since I don't have cable.... but I might end up downloading these week by week.

Re: The Walking Dead television series!!!! my friend at nycc went to the panel with darabont, kirkman and cast. they showed some of episode 2 and it was reportedly jaw dropping stuff. they also intend to make breaking bad "look like pussies." hoping i have access to a television by the premiere.

Re: The Walking Dead television series!!!! I just got the Volume 6 hard cover, which covers up to issue #72 I believe. Highly recommend the hard covers.
So what did everyone think of the premiere? I just finished watching it on project free t.v. (surprised they had it up so fast). Pretty good stuff especially the scenes with Morgan and his *dead* wife.

Re: The Walking Dead television series!!!! We made it into a family night event. Went over to my cousin's pad, had awesome ribs and watched the show in the dark. LOL
You could hear a pin drop as we watched the episode. I asked my cousin's husband who has the hardcover books if there was any difference and he said yes they added a couple of things which I wont mention to not spoil story line but he was pleased with how the episode ran.
Since I cannot wait for the next episode, I borrowed book 1 and 2. XD
For someone who has not read the comic books, I really enjoyed the episode. Now I want a fuller experience so I'll be reading the books voraciously until I catch up.
