Don't get me wrong I like peep show, laugh, have watched all six seasons, but sometimes its more of a test to see if I even can.

Will need to check out that mitchel and webb look, I belive its on netflix on demand right now.

The might boosh is definetly very odd.

Man kills koi carp with human tears.

Mighty Boosh- I only saw season 1 & 2 two years ago when you could watch them all on youtube. They've since been removed (I really hate when that happens), I could only watch them there because at the time the DVD's were not available on Region 1. Fear not though I just checked and all 3 seasons are on one DVD that came out recently (need to pick that up). It's fucking hysterical especially Julian Barrett who plays Howard Moon. Barrett also plays Dan Ashcroft on Nathan Barley which is even funnier. Here he is in one of my fave clips on youtube:

I feel that away about The State. Some things made me laugh but a lot of it was really "90's" and I think most of the cast got so much funnier that, looking back, it was kind of weak at a lot of points.

The first season of the state is the best, the second is pretty good.

They def got much better as they got older.
The other problem with the state was the fact that they wouldn't spring the cash for the songs so a lot of skits have random lame backing tracks as opposed ot the original pop songs that played when the show aired.

While I wouldn't buy Dexter (only cuz I'd only watch it once), I really do like the show. I am getting ready to rent the Season 3 which just came out on video.

Speaking of Dexter--the main actor's prior show, Six Feet Under, is well worth the watch.

Dexter is so bad that I love it. It's like junk food tv. I KNOW it's bad, bad acting, writing, obvious plot, but still I can't help it, I gotta watch! Same with Heroes.

Right now I only watch the following shows:
Dexter
Heroes
Venture Brothers

I can't keep up with anything else. MST3K should be a no brainer, Joel or Mike, fuck the Mike haters.

I thought of posting this video clip in another thread, but silverliningman's phrase "the whole watch it instantly" made for a nice segue-way.

If you like dark comedies (think Todd Solondz) there's BBC's Nighty Night:

I just finished season 1 of "Fringe," it was slow to start but it gets really excellent, lots of potential. Season 2 is happening now, I think it's up to episode 5 or something. Great show.

It was definitely on slightly unstable footing when it started, but I think the producers realized this, listened to the early criticisms, and responded very well. The pilot and earliest episodes seemed like they were heading in a very different direction, and what was at the time a major story element has since been dropped, apparently permanently, and that's okay.
(The dead agent's consciousness xfer and all that.)

In the second season, there have been some major revelations that go a long way to explain some of the mystery. Characters have gotten stronger and the sometimes-intrusive comic element seems to have found its place better. It's definitely a high quality class act of a procedural drama. I'm frankly surprised there hasn't been more discussion of it at this site. It's one of the best things on TV at the moment.

Most of the previous mentions are on my list as well, but I'd like to mention these in particular:
- Duckman {with Jason Alexander}
- Monk
- 30 Rock
- Big Bang Theory
- Robot Chicken

Also, while buying/renting DVD's is fine, also consider On-Demand from Amazon or iTunes and many other sources. While in Helsinki Finland recently for about 6 months, I was heavy into streaming HD from Amazon on some of the shows above {not all available yet}. If not in the US, consider the fine magic of VPN's.

I always forget about Robot Chicken. It's like the value menu of TV. "Meh, don't feel like commiting to anthing thing bigger now, I'll just go with the .99 cent Robot Chicken please."

Does anyone own the 4th Season of Six Feet Under? If so, could I borrow it? I'll pay shipping--if you slip the discs in those little plastic sleeves it will cost less and be easy to mail.

I can't really commit to any series so I just always end up watching random shows like Gangland, Ghost Hunters, Destination Truth, Manswers. And I never miss Squidbillies - whow

:P Just mute it and watch the girls bouncing around.
It's such a Dude show it's awesome, just an overdose of testosterone.
My GF actually stops me from watching it now, but she makes me wath Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice with her, needless to say, I do not enjoy Thursday night.
