 Re: Thrift Store finds.
That is.... amazing. There are few things I love in the world of food groups as much as Maggi's. It's the original sriracha for me - I can put it on near everything.

 Re: Thrift Store finds.
Being German and having FOB German in-laws, Maggi is a must. We are always being asked to pick up bottles of it when we hit the German market. I was perusing a Goodwill and out of the corner of my eye was this beautiful beacon of a hot mess. Obviously I had to buy it and it sits proudly (at least for now) in the kitchen.
From what I could find, these were made or purchased down in Mexico and painted there. Anyone who has driven to Mexico and is on the return trip knows that while spending time in their car waiting to cross back over the border, there are dozens of street vendors slinging crap from Chicklets to beach bum pullovers. You gotta love it. There are also a slew of low grade ceramic figures, poorly painted and mostly in poor taste. My guess is this is one of those and Maggi Corp. felt it a good value as well as a good promotional item. BTW, it is a "piggy" bank. Personally I think they should have gone with those booby sip mugs, but that might explain why I'm not a CEO for a major company.
