i had a friend in high school who had a theory that he seriously 100% believed, that the internet was created on the down low as a means for the elite of society, i.e. senators, ceo's, etc... to distribute pornography to one another. according to him, word got out somehow, and so those same elite turned it into the information superhighway to cover their asses. weird.

back on topic, this message board is great! i love the lack of drama and silly rules.

It's great that things run so smoothly over here. Unforunately with over 4200 members on KR's board, and a good third of those just there to stir up shit or sell phones, it's a little bit harder to manage and keep civil. Blaming the rules or the Mods for the problems of the board is pretty short-sighted.

I don't think anyone has a problem with the mods but the rules are stupid. Things have gotten worse since the new rules were posted. Like I said, I feel bad for the mods, I wouldn't take the job.

I think blaming KidRobot make more sense than blaming/banning collectors.

There are plenty of people that have problems with the Mods. There's constant second-guessing on why someone got a rep, or got banned, or why this thread was moved. That goes directly to what the Mods do.
For the record. Brainless and WTK have not been banned. 3 reps means you can't post. We can't ban people from the forum.
Also, WTK received one rep for his Star Jones stuff, but the others were for badgering other board members, and continuing to flame.
We may not like the rules, hell I don't like all the rules, but the board is part of KR's business so they are doing what they see fit. Kids are members of the board, thus the restrictions on language, they don't want ebay links, etc. It's their call. If it wasn't tied to a business entity it may be a totally different experience.
It can still be a vital and useful tool, just depends on how people choose to use it.

Nothing really - I was looking for a Japanese Toy store the thread was talking aobut so I typed in the name of the store and .co.jp and up popped a Japanese kiddie "porn" site. I thought it was ironic and posted the link and then Natural Shithead started calling for my banning. Isaac simply deleted the link and gave me a polite warning. Natural T said he would not post again on here (at least under that name I guess).

Actually, Mods were getting toys for a long time before I got any. I didn't know they were sending stuff out until someone sent me a message and asked if I'd received such and such. I was like, "No, I haven't gotten anything." I wasn't really expecting anything, but since they were sending the other Mods things I figured I'd better get in on it.
