For the record, I wasn't assuming that you (S.Andy) were commenting on Scott's ebay sales. Though PM me if you were...asshat.

 Re: Douchemove 101!
ST is good people, got hooked up a coupla times with great prices whenever he sells here.... and i also like what he's doing in terms of his vinyl prod. company here in the states. So if he need some $krilla to help fund that, i'll definitely support him in his charity auction, which right about now are still on par with his prices if he sold on the bst

 Re: Douchemove 101!
I think those ebay auctions are quite harmless. It's not like they're listed for unreasonable BIN's. I don't collect that sort of stuff so I have no idea what they go for. Maybe Scott is as sick of this forum as some of us and doesn't want to do those sales here anymore. Can't really blame him. Those infamous sales do seem like they came from a galaxy far far away, eons ago...

Well I believe you should all boycott his auctions. Or at least the GID Visighost proto one. Please?

 Re: Douchemove 101!
There is a double standard on this board, without a doubt. I could not really care less if he sells these on ebay because with S7 Florida, he earned the right. BUT, if it were someone other than Scott, most people would want to burn the guy's home and run him out of Dodge. There's my 2 cents. I hope he raises as much money as possible and makes lots of new toys.
Now back to arguing over who is a flipper and who is not. I used to join these arguments until I realized that they never end and there is no answer all agree on. Does make for good innocent drama.
Carry on!

 Re: Douchemove 101!
These are unreleased (for the most part) proto/unpainted toys made by Super7 from a S7 Employee/Former-Franchise-Owner. All placed at low bids for the S7 toys. S7 toys are not as difficult to get as a lot of Japanese releases; wasn't that the point of the collabs with SB, RH, and others in the old days?
So StealthTank Sales have been modified for the masses. Like it or not, success requires reaching fans not on this board as well as massaging the citizens of skullbrain. People here seem to resent that.
Why does Skullbrain hate growth so damn much?
It doesn't change the aesthetics of the scene one bit. "Monster Party figures are too cartoon-like, too Western" is a popular complaint. If you have that complaint and own any BxH figures, I'd love to buy them on the cheaper side. I await your PMs.
Dybbukim, what's happening man? Let's do lunch in 2011.

The only double standard is the fact that he'll probably make double the standard.

 Re: Douchemove 101!
Scott rules. good luck to him and his company. he's the real deal and he needs to raise some money. so what? every stupidly awesome thing he has sold on here was waaaaay less than anyone would expect to pay for it.
We can all probably think of some "career flipper" that has sold here on this board or elsewhere. Scott isn't one of them. not even close. The word filter should kick in every time someone writes "Scott" or "stealthtank" and "flipper" in the same post.
and I can't imagine that he gives two craps about what anyone thinks about his little Ebay bit. I'm guessing the man is trying to build something great out of his love of toys and the people who love them back. More power to him.
I'm going to go bid on something right now. fuckit.

Well maybe not a villain, but I'd say it used up all his karma points. I don't think so I second that, learn the full story before jumping the gun. +1. Cant believe this is about Scott. How quick we turn on each other WTF.

 Re: Douchemove 101!
Looks like things got nastier on the Toyboxdx board than on SB. We must have gotten soft in our old age. Anyways, for posterity, I posted this over there, and I suppose it bears repeating over here just to keep things clear. (If they ever are/were.)
----
I can't comment on everything above, as it would take forever, but let me give a quick two cents.
Scott and I are on fine terms. Super7FL was very successful. In fact, so successful that Scott decided to take it to the next level and get into manufacturing. Our terms were up for negotiation after one year, and he moved on to his next challenge. Although many of us in the "industry" have been scared away by the barriers in US manufacturing presented to us, if Scott pulls it off, it will be a viable option for all of us going forward.
My comment on twitter about the test shots were a bit more about my relationship with Scott and about the relationship with the fans who supported the S7FL store. I am disappointed that the option for the fans to buy rare test shots was held on ebay vs the skullbrain forum as a way to say thank you to those who supported the store, is a personal opinion only, and sounds unfortunately damning rather than matter of fact. In the end, these are Scott's figures, and he can do with them what he chooses to. (Whether it would be what I would do or not.)
Anything beyond that would be a guess at best of mine for what Scott is up to. As someone who is available by email, I am sure Scott would be happy to let you know what he is up to and why. Conjecture is hardly ever correct, and there is no room for riling everyone up over a molehill instead of a mountain.

It's more that fanboyism took the reigns here in the last year or so ...

It's more that fanboyism took the reigns here in the last year or so ... the fear of insulting or saying anything negative has been stifled in a really bad way here. fanboyism is a mild way of putting it. i'd call it crawling up people's asses for acceptance and a perceived sense of "being cool".
