Completely destroyed. The camera pans by the wreckage of a train and the distant voice of J. Robert Oppenheimer (father of the atomic bomb) is heard reading from the Bhagavad Gita – “Now, I am become death”. Dust everywhere. Cars crushed. Holes in sky scrapers. We then see a giant centipede like creature with many arms and legs smoldering. (You know what that means? Monster battles!) The city appears dead as a door nail. Then blackness. THE ROAR. As in THE roar. Huge Bass drop. Raymond Burr finishes his famous speech. Dust…then an arm… a hand… with claws. Pan up… holy shit… the fins. The head. Godzilla. As we know him. The real f-cking Godzilla. He roars again. Fade to GODZILLA! With Red Japanese title behind it! ... gave me the chills. I heard they were going to make a second one from the military's point of view, though it doesn't look like it will come true...

Of course its hard to judge someone from interviews, But Mr Deltoro seems to really have a love and respect for old ways. And traditions, including those of the Kaiju Genre. I'm sure if he had any control over the distribution of the Characters and Likenesses he's allow it to happen. Plus its an injustice that he's previous monsters and ghoulies aren't already vinyl toys.

Robots Movie ^^^ Well, for what it's worth Del Toro is a hundred times the storyteller of Michael "Shitbiscuit" Bay, and there's some decent actors underneath all that SFX - not least of which Burn Gorman and Idris Elba. I recognized Charlie Hannam's "American" voice, too.
