i miss voted by not reading and clicking hastily. PIZZA forever. i only recently started eating hamburgers (hated them when i was younger, i dont know why) BUT

i had a really great burger once in savannah georgia. half pound patty, marinara sauce, mozzarella. pepperoni slices, and some mushrooms. the pizza burger ruled my life for a while

pizza, because pie is in every way, shape and form better than cake. (and isn't a hamburger just a little meat cake on a bun?) =p

pizza is the food I eat. it's not a decision. it's like breathing air. even bad pizza is still good pizza.
I don't eat it as much these days, but I'm always down for it. hamburgers are awesome, but i have to be in the mood. "I do love the taste of a good burger" though

I think I messed up too. I can't live without pizza but picked it in the vote, where as the poll is asking what you can live without. Fourth it's very misleading, you should just say pizza or hamburger which is better!

I eat pizza WAY more often. I LOVE pizza. But I would hate life if I couldn't have a burger ever again.
I don't know that I necessarily agree with JoeMan's hierarchy, but a bacon/egg/cheeseburger is one of my favorite things. But do I like it better than pepperoni/tomato/jalapeño pizza? Impossible to say.
I guess there's only one way I could vote in this, but I REFUSE TO CHOOSE!

My friends and I had a discussion about this. Think about all the pizza you have eaten, a lot of it was bad pizza. Some of it was the worst pizza you ever had. Some of it was cold, stale, and left out over night...yet it was still good. It's the reason why places like Little Caesars can still exist. This is the best argument for pizza, because a bad burger is a bad burger.

However, the best burgers beat pizza on almost every day.

I don't know about this one... I've tasted some amazing burgers yet have found none that I would choose over the best slice of pizza.

I'll go even further, burgers aren't even like a contender for me on the junk food scale. Just as a basic list (gourmet or traditional or drive thru)

Another point, you can put burger on a pizza, but pizza burger? Meh, it's just a burger with different sauce and cheese. Can't replicate that crust. It's basic math!

pizza encompasses all and still retains its identity. pizza > hamburger.

Giving up either one is a no win situation but I would have to go with hamburgers.

I already voiced my scale. But I'll just say add some good crisp salty fries and onion rings to a good burger and pizza can't compare. I guess you could have either of those with pizza too but they just go perfectly with a burger

Where is that from, Mont Royal Hot Dog? I prefer my pizza to be hand edible, but I might just make an exception.

in regards to the even bad pizza is good pizza statement, there is a line, oh it is far off into the horizon but it is there, I dragged some friends to chuck e cheese some years ago and had the discusion that what we were eating was the worst Fing pizza ever but because we were eating it inside a chuck e cheese it was delicious

And does that apply to frozen pizza? I had the displeasure of eating a Digiorno's recently, and there was nothing remotely enjoyable about it. Totino's slays Digiorno's.
