"We generally follow the following rule on YJA: If a board member is bidding on an object, don't bid against them unless you REALLY want it (like you've been looking for a year for it), and even then, try contacting them first and politely ask if they are serious about the item before placing a bid."

Guess that doesn't apply to eBay, eh? Seriously though...the way I see it, to the highest bidder go the spoils. It comes down to who wants it the most. That seems like REAL fan shit, to me...

if someone is bidding on an item for say...4,000 yen but they are willing to pay 15,000 at most and you just swing in without reguard to that board member and are willing to pay 12,000 yen tops, the person bidding on it already wants it more and now is forced to bid 15,000 yen to get it where as if you didn't bid or contacted them first they may have been able to get it for a super deal. that's REAL FAN SHIT ONLY around here. i'm not trying to bully you, just presenting the facts on how to make friends not enemies on the board.

How are you bullying? Ain't nothin' wrong with sticking by your ideals...

I understand what your saying...it IS nice to get a toy at a super great deal, but if said person was willing to go $150....

Ooops... sorry about that Hillsy... I didn't know you were a board member...

We have a list in the Pogue's Platform section that has a list of boardmembers and their ebay and YJA names, and I didn't see you on there, so I just bid on that Microman figure. Sorry about that.

Dude....it's a toy. Don't feel bad. If it were a vintage Bullmark I've been after for a while, we might have to have words... besides, there's one up on YJP! I can always go after..

Jeez...I was kidding with Loco. If I'm outbid, cool. It means someone wanted it more than I.
