I think its quite comical to debate the merits of the word 'kaiju' or "sofubi'. My wife always jokingly says.."oh.....it looks like you got a new doll." I'm not about to get on a soapbox and defend what I collect and tell her.."no it's a 'kaiju'.

Don't get me wrong- I too hope this doesn't increase the flood of money waving, gotta have it now or else collectors. But those ships have already sailed, haven't they.

Re: when is a kaiju not a kaiju... I went to an early screening tonight and I loved it. Well balanced between the fights with the Jaegers and kaiju and the character developments. Neither was overly done. Graphics were amazing. There were cheesy parts, but I felt they were fitting to their situations without being face palm worthy.
