I did too. I don't want to come off as a "hater". I just had higher hopes.
And once I determine that I want to watch a movie I steer clear of all marketing so as not to further hype myself up - I saw one trailer for Gravity and I've seen one trailer for Europa Report. That's all I need, and I don't want to know anything more about a film once I've been sold on it. I wish there was a better way (than trailers) to learn about new movies to minimize expectations and "spoilers", while still being able to determine whether it's something worth spending $35+ on.
