A friend of mine just told me there were cops at the Gargamel booth. Hope some flipper jackass didn't steal something. I don't want to jump to any conclusions, but if I ever see anybody stealing from anybody's booth, I will call you out, and/or drop you like a bag of dirt.

Martin Ontiveros is also at the Gargamel/Bwana booth and yesterday someone stole a $100 painting right off the table.

Seems to happen at every con at least once. Happened at the last NYCC too. And likely just an opportunistic grab by people who don't even know what they are taking.

Yep. Chances are it will end up in a trashcan a few blocks down the road.

Maybe they got the guy that jacked Martin and they're seeing if he wants to press charges. Those Con booths aren't cheap and to steal from an artist is the biggest D bag move I can think of.

Pretty sure Katope had something stolen before.

I'm not sure about security at SDCC but when I was going before there were groups that went explicitly to steal. We caught 32 people stealing at our booth as we had one employee roaming in front of the booth watching. The worst was a guy set down a $25,000 pro video camera at our booth, turned around and poof! Pretty fuckin lame.

That's why you'll never see me at sdcc. Fear of being stolen.

Spoke to Bwana a bit about the incident at the PK event tonight...the cops were just taking a statement about the stolen painting. Smart move. If some turd tries to sell it, at least there's a better chance of catching the piece of shit.

These were the only good photos I got out of the event. Really wish I would've gotten more photos of the Domino Jack, Sally and Boss. Or better photos, at least.

That Mockbat was made for the SDCC 214?
It's made from GID vinyl?

Paul's show was at Gunnzo outside of SDCC. But I haven't seen any dedicated threads, so I just posted here since it's been mentioned a couple times. The Mockbat is cast in milky clear.

I had the doubt about the vinyl color, but many thanks for the information!

That said, gutted I missed out on the Super 7 Franken/Obake too. Is the Deathra a one-off? Instagram suggested that it was largely one-offs and minis. Very nice one regardless.
