Could you see this new breed of straight edge christian kids going to a Carcass show? It would be scary and gross for them... metalcore is classy, metal is classless... unless it's on a retro t-shirt

I like peanut butter and I like chocolate but dont get your pb in my chocolate...most people think Im crazy for this but apparently im not alone..
I'm pretty sure that Morser was ex-Acme as well. That Acme discog was quite good, especially that first song if I remember correctly.
Lurker, you nailed it with Chokehold and Groundwork. if those were the only 2 mid-90s hardcore bands I ever listened to again, I don't think I'd mind.

I feel as if I could post all day on this subject but will try to just add the few more things:
Im full of shit in the end because as much as I'd like to say I dont like metal and hardcore getting mixed up..I have a cro-mags tattoo.
I actually like cave-ins jupiter album the best. feel free to throw things at me.
would love a copy of content with dying with tracks. and I could be mistaken but Im pretty sure a RFSO member put out a chokehold record.
I know that old dudes looked at us in the mid-90s and said "man these young kids and theyre awful metal/hardcore. Ill never understand"

Content With Dying was released by Bloodlink, a small label from here in Philly run by this guy Scott Beibin. it wasn't put out on any other labels, at least to my knowledge, but I'm probably wrong.
the CD version had tracks, I think. the 7" was included on there too, but that might not have had tracks.
"and to side with you, is like siding with the Iron Fist
and to support you, is like supporting a rapist
AND I WOULDN'T DO THAT!!"

Jupiter is good too, but it's to the point where it's a different band...

while i didn't hate chokehold, the dudes voice just didn't work well with the sloppy punky metal too well for me. if i need a fix for music that sounded like this i would listen to downcast or anti schism.
edit: i dig until your heart stops and played with and saw baritt many times. good dudes.

I really like Chokehold's attitude. they presented some radical political views and information on them, but then kinda had this snotty punk attitude about it. almost like "what the fuck is wrong with you if you don't think like this?"

I think Chokehold tried to bridge the gap between ebullition style hc and the east coast hardcore stuff. I respect them for trying to draw a line, even at the risk of pissing people off.

My only experience is a band called Antestor. Bought the album Return of the Black Death and its damned awesome. Funniest part is Cacophany records censored their booklet so it didn't mention God.

James, Solaris (if I spelled that correctly) was good as well as Namanax.
In fact, once upon a time, I reviewed these releases for Terrorizer. And, James, I think I am older than you (if that makes you feel better).
I've interviewed Aaron Turner, Greg Anderson, and Stephen O'Malley. So your're sort of the last piece of the puzzle.

Well, your helping out was very good.
I will kick myself now cause I could have seen Khanate when you played in New Orleans in 2003/2004 at the Matador (if my memory is correct).
Argh!
BTW- all RFSO members in bands should step out of the closet (cause you might get some favoritism in your quest for toys!)!

Terrorizer is a pretty cool mag.
Chad you ever reviewed for Rock a Rolla?
http://www.rock-a-rolla.com/
They seem to focus on the more leftfield side of things, and every issue has to mention SunnO))) in some form or another! but reviews Wolf Eyes, The Boredoms, Boris, Merzbow etc.
