I did too and I blame it on you Frank because you had to go ask about the "anti-custom" vibe. And I blame liquidsky for citing this thread. And I blame myself for not being able to look away from a train wreck.

something I want to address in this thread right now is rudeness

why is everyone making out being rude to be such a horrible thing? sometimes it's fun and funny and great.

I'm from the East Coast. the stereotype is true. we are rude. all the time.
ask missy. people are rude to me all day long. people are rude to her all day long. everyone out here has a chip on their shoulder. and you can't get by with that SF hippie attitude of "killing them with kindness" out here. I actually can't stand when I go anywhere else (San Diego for instance) and everyone is all nice and says "hello" to you for no reason and cars let pedestrians cross the street and stuff. who has time for all that?

so you just start being rude back, and before you know it, you're angry and rude all the time. it's awesome. alright it's not really awesome to feel that way all the time, but some of the time it's awesome.

this thread delivers +1

I'm getting blamed cause I answered Frank's question? ahhahaha.
At the least the blame is spread around. Smiles for miles.

All this directness is "refreshingly frank" though some may take it as rudeness.

Of course I had to spread the blame around to you and Frank; otherwise I'd have only myself to blame ;)

I looked up rude only to find it meant lacking manners/being discourteous. I looked up courtesy and this is what I found:

"Consent or agreement in spite of fact; indulgence: They call this pond a lake by courtesy only."

So I guess if one criticizes a sloppy custom rather than indulging the customizer, it should be considered rude...

I personally won't tear someone on a message board apart for their lack of skill. (The old if you don't have anything nice to say rule). But if asked directly, then I will give an honest and hopefully constructive opinion.

Just got back from a week chillin' out after SDCC where I met some cool people, bought some great toys . . . . only to read this!

It makes me glad that there was no internet connection on the beach!

Wow. Still going. Can we make it 12 pages? Seems to have lost some of it's venom, though.

Fuck everyone! All of you suck! I hate Kaiju and that other board! I hate customs and I hate people who hate customs! Rudeness, constructive criticism, courtesy and holding one's tongue all suck big time and anyone who says otherwise is obviously a douche!!! Who said they are a fighter? Let's fucking throw down, Mofo!!!! I'm going to do everything in my power to get all of you banned from this board! Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!!!

End of rant.

So, that's my attempt at adding some venom. I'd have left it at that, but I think it was too obvious that I was goofing. Oh, well. Anyone else want to help me get this thing to page 12? :D
