Re: LOST Season 6 Talk *Spoilers*
finally caught up so that i'll be ready for the finale tomorrow. lets see how many questions they can answer in 2 hours and 30 minutes. i cant wait.
i also heard that its going to be broadcasted worldwide at the same time, is this true? if so, thats pretty awesome, but it would suck for those on the other side of the globe. i wonder what records will be broken tomorrow for this event.

Having a BBQ as a pre-show meal. Ha
Sort of sad and glad that the show is coming to an end.

That was why he was digging and making that wheel. I don't know why he didn't just use the wheel when Ben did though. Ben used it and got dropped in a desert somewhere off the island, why couldn't MIB do that? I'm trying to figure out what the difference is in MIB pre/post him inhabiting Locke's body. But I think this difference has something to do with why he wasn't able to use the wheel. Prior to inhabiting Locke's body MIB could use multiple bodies - he used his own body, Christian's, Walt's, Echo's brother's, and a few others I believe (need to re-watch!). But since taking Locke's body he said he could ONLY appear as Locke. So regarding the use of the wheel I think it's something along the lines of MIB didn't have a true "substance" to use physical objects or something along those lines - he had to use other people as tools be deceiving them...or he was Smokey. But now he has a true physical form but the wheel has been destroyed (was it destroyed?). Or maybe when the island moved they don't have access to the wheel anymore? He himself mentioned that he could take up any form he wished, but he chose Locke, I forget the specific reason I think he said because "(Locke) was wrong" or something along those lines. Seeing as how Locke thought he had the closest bond to the island and said they had to stay there. And I you mean Desmond for being immune to electromagnetic fields not Richard.

Can't believe this is last show/episode worth watching on tv. TV has nothing else to offer me.

For all the annoying things this season presented and knowing it was all over after tonight- I got really choked up when Jack took that last walk through the bamboo forest to the spot where we first saw him and Lost began.

Re: LOST Season 6 Talk *Spoilers*
Lame. At least they didn't come right out and straight up remake "The Prisoner." "Lost" proves that a cleverly disguised ripoff is better than a remake any day. I didn't need five seasons to learn that, but...

Re: LOST Season 6 Talk *Spoilers*
there were some nice moments in there, but overall the ending didnt really get me going. like lixx said the last part with jack was a great touch and bringing vincent back in was good symmetry. still` a great suitable ending to an amazing show. now i get to go back and watch the first 5 seasons with my lady. she only watched this past season and now wants to run through 1-5.

what about those of us who just believe that when you die, you die alone and it is ugly and you just cease to be?

Re: LOST Season 6 Talk *Spoilers*
Honestly I'm not disappointed at all. There have always been religious over tones in the show so that didn't bother me at all.
The last scene with Jack hit me so hard, brought me to tears.
No disappointment on my end at all. I really think this show is truly amazing. I am sad it's over but the ending was strong.
Once more people finish it I'd be interested to see exactly what people thought.
Did the island really happen? I think yes. My personal thought is Hurley changed the rules and let Desmond leave the island. When he left he brought everyone together. I'm not sure why Ben didn't go in, but what Hurley said to Ben before he went into the church it makes me believe more that the island life was real.
So much to think about.

So much to think about. I agree. My thought is that the island really happened and just the Sideways world was "purgatory". The characters all died at various points on or after the island and all met up in the end. I liked that the show's creators didn't feel like they had to tie up every single loose end and answer every question. The end of a great show.

Re: LOST Season 6 Talk *Spoilers*
but it was so cheap! it's like they wrote themselves into a corner or something. using religion to get out of a religion is easy
you dont have to explain anything. just let go. you'll see all your buddies in heaven anyway. it doesnt matter what happened
horseshit

Re: LOST Season 6 Talk *Spoilers*
so sad to see the show end.... couldn't see it ending any other way & gave you alot to think about. one of my friends who never watched the show wanted to know if he should watch it in the entirety.... although now i know how it ends, dunno if i can recommend it anyone know why penny was in the church? i'm sort of baffled with that, because she was never on the island

Re: LOST Season 6 Talk *Spoilers*
I was happy with the ending. Seeing them all together again made me happy, and thats what I wanted to see. Several scenes got my eyes a bit watery, especially the hospital scenes with Sun & Jin (this scene really broke me down) and Juliet & Sawyer. Jack's final scene was beautiful.. just knowing it was the ending.
Eloise wanting to spend more time with Daniel was sweet as can be. Now I understand why Eloise wanted Desmond to stop doing what he was doing. I didn't really like her before the finale, but the last scene asking Desmond if he's taking Daniel with him was a great moment.
Richard's gray hair moment was great. Okay, thats enough rambling now. Everything moment was great to me.
Here is my question, is it easier for a dead person in ALT to remember what happened than someone still alive in the actual timeline?

Re: LOST Season 6 Talk *Spoilers*
The alternate/flash sideways as a 'purgatory' kinda bugged me. If everyone died at different times and at different points in their lives, wouldn't some be wondering why they were young again? Wouldn't they have met and loved others once they were off the island? (If we agree the island was real, then at least Claire, Kate & Sawyer made it off the island alive, along with 3 others that did not make it to the 'church'.) I guess what really bugs me is, as far as the logic of ending goes, Desmond was correct in saying that all that shit that happened on the island, aside from the human relationships, didn't matter - 'the end' will be the same. I guess after all the weirdness that had ensued on the island for 6 years, I was hoping for more than 'all you need is love'.

Re: LOST Season 6 Talk *Spoilers*
I knew it would end this way from the beginning.
It was "An Occurance at Owl Creek Bridge" to the t.
He was having a pre-mortem experience and visualized a delusion with everyone he had recently encountered or had in his mind, even Desmond who he met at the stadium.
As in the oft ripped short story, in the end he stumbles out of a creek and eventually dies.
And in season two, when Locke was reading an occurance at owl creek bridge, and when asked what he was reading, he replied, "nothing."

Re: LOST Season 6 Talk *Spoilers*
I agree it had a strong Owl Creek influence, but I don't know if the entire 6 seasons was a pre-mortem experience. Not all of the 'occurances' over the life of the show were Jack-centric.
