I think its because they're a breed of cat with tiny stunted ears so they aren't that sensitive about having stuff put on there heads like most cats would be . . . . there's a lot of behind the scenes shots in the book where you can see the cats sat all calm and relaxed as their mad Japanese lady owner dresses them up . . . .
