...and dribbling.
Screeners of the first 4 eps were leaked to the net, in case any among us feel like cheating.

Re: Game of Thrones
Tempted to watch but I heard the quality was so so, would prefer to wait and watch it how it was intended.
Loved last nights episode, obviously a bit of a catch up but setting us up for what I'd imagine is gonna be one hell of a season. Cersei flashback was cool too!

I couldn't resist and I must admit that it's a lot better than what I was expecting, especially after season 4. Quality was also pretty good

I'll wait to watch it on TV. Have too many other stuff to catch up on anyways. Great first episode, though i felt i was only half way through when it ended.

Nice to see Joel Fry from 'Plebs' playing 'Hizdahr zo Loraq' . . . the guy that keeps asking Daenerys to open the fighting pits.

Seventh grade health class should have taught me the evils of Game of Thrones instead of drugs. Watched the leaked episodes, and would have sold my grandmother for another afterwards.

Re: Game of Thrones
Yeah I watched all 4 at once and was similarly still hungry. Sort of a strange season in that everyone is beginning major new storylines and roles for the most part after all that got wrapped up last season. Maybe a little lackluster so far (only compared to previous seasons) but I have a feeling it is going to ramp up and likely set in motion events that will be the focus of the next several seasons. They really need to develop more characters for viewers to completely hate and want dead, since most of them we felt that way about previously have already.

How do we get to see Stokeworth before we see Highgarden, Storm's End, or Casterly Rock?

^^ They have really started to mix everything up and add new stuff, but its all good in my opinion. Who doesn't enjoy Brienne of Tarth shoving her sword through an armoured thugs neck and saving Podricks hide in the process?

Re: Game of Thrones
I don't recall, but isn't that a pretty big departure from the books?

Re: Game of Thrones
Yes. This season is doing it's own thing since the producers don't have the books to base off of. One of the many reasons I think this is easily the worst season. Far from over though, so fingers crossed it can bounce back.

Re: Game of Thrones
I know there is going to be a lot of immediate dismissal of fans of the novels for their opinions (yes, yes, books and screen adaptations are very rarely similar, and I would not expect it) but the further and further the deviation gets, the worse the show seems to me. Honestly, it is probably still a decent show, but if I picked it up now, and had not already read the story, I think I would not care all that much for it. Some of this is due to them mixing plot elements up, which is against the expectations of someone who knows it, but still, it also seems very poor compared to the earlier seasons. I don't know. I obviously can't be unbiased because I can't unread them, and go in blind, but it seems like they are losing a lot of the drama and intensity that made the show so great in the first place. To be fair, the novels also get a bit more boring as they progress - but at least there, there is so much more story and descriptions to support it. This jumping around to random events without any apparent significance is pretty lame and doesn't pull in the viewer (I think). I would be interested to hear what people think who don't know all the background. Is it easy to follow/still good/make sense?

Re: Game of Thrones
Two words: Lady Stoneheart
I didn't read the books but I know the background of the character and was hoping for a little ghoulish justice. Bigger picture- yes I know the Starks are just prevalent in the earlier books but I was so much more invested in GOT altogether before Rob & Lady Stark were killed, Theon neutered, and Ned beheaded. Now we have Jon Snow who babbles about honor on the Nights Watch and refuses to avenge Ned and Rob's death. Arya who is going to go through some long ass training montage that will last seasons I'm sure. Sansa who bores me to tears, and Bran who is also boring as hell. I wanted some fucking Bolton/ Lannister payback at Stark hands (brutal justice not Sansa passing poison unknowingly)
Also the White Walkers were awesome. More of them. Fuck this whole Cersei story & Danearys story BS. Yawnnnnnnnnn.

Re: Game of Thrones
Sounds like i'm in the minority of people who have read the books but still think the TV show is perfectly fine. There is no way they could fit everything from the books into the show anyway, i'm puzzled why so many people feel so let-down over that. There are many movies based on books that vary greatly from the source material and that seems accepted, generally.
It means anyone who hasn't read the books will now have lots of bonus stories / characters / battles to enjoy if they do get round to reading them.

Re: Game of Thrones
Not as big a hater as some out there, but wouldn't personally call it perfectly fine either. Totally understand they can't fit everything from the books, but why then waste time on dumb stuff you're making up when you could use that time to fit some book parts in. Like I said, there's cats out there ready to quit the show and I'm not one of them. Just little stuff that could easily have been changed. Either way, excited for the first new episode since April 12th on Sunday.

^^ Yep, good episode. I've ended up really liking Stannis Baratheon for some reason. Miserable sod that he is.

^^ Same. They're really making us grow fond of Stannis. That probably doesn't bode too well for him staying alive though.

Re: Game of Thrones
I've been feeling the same way I felt about Joffrey when it comes to Ramsey for a long time. I was kind of yelling at Theon's dumb ass to actually do something while poor Sansa was being abused, like maybe cut off his balls mid act? Geez this show makes me mad.

God poor Sansa, was really hoping for Reek to get his revenge during that scene. He better make his damn amends asap.
