Despise AMC for how they keep doing this "divide the season in half" thing with their shows. Fucking advertising $$$!!!

Just to get it out of my system... the series has wrapped but we only get to see the first 8 of the final 16 this year. Bastard people.

Where did you see this ?

I listened to in interview with Aaron Paul on Nerdest where he said they haven't filmed the second half yet, and wouldn't till the end of the year.

This is why only half is being shown.

Look on the bright side- each half of season 5 will still be longer than the first season! The split season will only be a problem if they haven't planned for it, and written it as such. If it was a stop/start thing like it was for Fringe then I'd find that mildly annoying, but this is something they've been planning since the end of the last season.

Looking forward to it!

Post Re: I heart Breaking Bad
I think I hate every single character on this show. I'm not 100% sure why I'm watching it. But I still managed to watch everything. I thought the s4 finale was very predictable, but nice. I have a few questions though:

-If Skyler is so careful with appearances and their back story, how can she give Ted a cheque for over $600k? Doesn't that mean the money would have had to be put into an account? And it was taken from the cash under their house, right? That raises all sorts of red flags at banks...

-What about Jesse's cash? I mean, sure, he's not blowing it all out on flashy things, but he did buy a house cash. Wouldn't that raise questions? Don't the DEA have an eye on him? How do they think he suddenly got that much cash? And shouldn't he have a whole lot more than what Saul gave him at the end if he's splitting 50/50 with Walt?

-Also how did Walt manage to poison Brock? How does he even know where he lives or goes to school? Did the kid just accept random food from a stranger? Did I miss something?

-Skyler had Saul launder it and set up like a fake inheritance type situation.

-Jesse presumably has millions of dollars, spent some of it on a huge noisy week of partying that someone should have called the cops/DEA on, still had lots of it. It seemed like the DEA backed off because hank got a restraining order and everyone else at the DEA is stupid.

-That plot hole BS made season 4 a lot less enjoyable for me. There are obvious downsides to showing walt stake out brock and andrea and slip his flower poison into something. it was also the first time the show cut out such a major scene just to leave it to viewer doubt and that was annoying as all hell. Walt was probably like "here, eat this flower little boy."

Yes but considering how long and complicated it seems to have been to set up either the Lazer Tag or car wash thingees (wasn't one of the main issues that their car wash couldn't be that proftable?), that money seems to have been laundered awfully quickly (a few days?).

He seems to live in a fairly posh neighborhood (wasn't the house worth over a million?). You'd think the neighbors would have called in the police when they saw a few tattooed junkies walk by, let alone partying for a week straight...

I usually pick apart shows because of all the flaws and some character choices, but not so much with Breaking Bad. I LOVE all the characters and I don't how Walt got the kid to eat the berry, but I highly doubt he would have shown his face to the boy. Unless he want's Jesse to know in the future??

My first time watching this show and I just ran though the entire series in the past 5 days!

From what I understood, that money didn't have to be laundered through the car wash. That is why they made up the story of a deceased distant relative and therefore Ted and the banks wouldn't be suspicious. Ted wouldn't really look more into it because he got so much money and Saul explained that people tend to forget about specifics when they see so many zeros.

The IRS wouldn't be suspicious either because as far as they know Ted has all of their money. It was just the "Bimbo" that didn't file correctly so they're just gonna wait for the owner of the company to pay them what he still apparently has plus the penalties.

Just have to throw it out there but Episode 11 of season 4: Crawl Space, is by far my favorite episode. To me that episode had everything; it played around with a different one of your emotions in every scene and hearing Walt lose it and laughing in the background along with the music gave me such an eerie vibe, for some reason it reminded me of the Shining.

I think the scene of Walt laughing under the house could very well be my favorite scene of the series so far. Indeed very creepy and well shot.

Does anyone just enjoy a show anymore or does everything need to be ripped apart with pie charts and testimonials ?

I don't care anymore, I just want to enjoy a fictional character in a fictional universe.

Fuck

I see your point, but I think this whole internet thing makes creators more careful, and thus the shows better (and definitely smarter). Good thing, imho.

For shows that aren't deconstructed, watch sitcoms or soaps...

The wife and I just finished season 4 tonight. OMG the scene where Walt is under the house and finds out Skyler gave the money he needs to escape to Fuck-nut Ted! I can hear Walt laughing from inside his grave right now. I think that shot really sums up Walt for me, maybe the whole show.

Don't get cable, so I have to wait until Wednesday to see season 5 :(

No cable here either. I watched illegally online last night but btw buffering and poor pic quality I just gave in an bought a season pass from iTunes. 13.99 SD, 21.99 HD. You usually have to wait till the day after the show to get the download but worth it. Best part is you never have to wait or buy the DVD after the season is over since you already own all the episodes. More and more I'm just doing this with shows I know I love because most places that offer them free illegally online make me rage with buffering.

Still digesting this. At first watch I was a little unimpressed. The beginning didn't feel like previous quality , but rather sloppy and rushed. Same for the rest of the episode. It felt rushed and hollow, the sets and characters on screen felt low budget.

Spoilers !!

The magnet in the truck. Why wouldn't he just leave it on cranked up so when the cops came out all their guns would get snatched out their hands. It would also ensure that the laptop was destroyed.

I'm just not satisfied given what we have seen in the past.

With our 8 episodes it needs to change ... Fast.

Oh man. That is one of the few moments in TV HISTORY for me that I got goosebumps. The downward spiral of Walt.

Lasts night premiere was great. I didn't know how they were going to come back, but its as if they never left.

Lots of loose ends that I didn't think about are being taken care of. And as for the rushed paced, well, I think we've seen in the past that nothing goes unsaid in this show. I'm pretty sure all the "holes" we'll be coming back to in the later episodes (burning down the lab and so on).

And freaking magnets, how do they work?
