Edgar on the other hand looked like Rocky I. Felt the same way when I watched it on TV. I had no idea why Edgar was celebrating at the end of the fight since he pretty much wasn't gonna win (IMO). Did Henderson win by split decision or unanimous? i can't remember.. Yeah, I guess Henderson did a lot more damage, but just thinking back a little to when GSP fought PJ Penn the first time (I believe) Penn didn't have a scratch on him and GSP looked awful, but GSP still won. You can't rely on that to determine the winner. I do think Henderson probably won the fight, but Frankie did throw him around and did connect and did catch all his kicks and counter them. I always thought in order to be the Champion you have to BEAT the Champion and I just didn't see that. The way Henderson was jumping around after the fight was a little ridiculous also (prior to the announcement that he won). He was way bigger and seemed to have tons of energy left, I just wish he would have done more during the fight. Oh and yes the decision was unanimous, but I think the judges usually BLOW at best.

 Re: MMA Thread
^^ I would also have liked to see something more solid from Henderson, he reminds me a lot of the spider silva (and not in a good way). And I agree, Edgar did put up a good fight and had some highlights himself despite the damage he took from the upkick.

 Re: MMA Thread
The only fights I've seen in person were those local organizations that use to put on cage fights at the county fair. And it was always the tough guy from high school getting tapped by a bjj guy. I'd like to go to a UFC and see high caliber fighters in action. Looks awesome. Probably much more enjoyable in Japan were you don't have to deal with an arena of drunk D bags in tap out shirts.

 Re: MMA Thread
its been pretty quiet as of late i think in the UFC world... nothing really exciting...
Whats everyones take on the New Ultimate fighter on FX now that they show live fights?
i just watched the first episode with the guys in the house already, and I wanna give some respect to Dana for allowing Mike Chiesa to leave to attend his dad's funeral, and come back into the house. I know usually if you leave you are out... and being this was the first week and all 16 did not fight yet, he could of easily told him you gotta do what you gotta do, and then bring one of the first 16 that lost back in and take his spot.
Fight 1:
Daron was looking good, and even though he was the smaller fighter, he was pretty much keeping the pace... circling and getting some pretty mean kicks in... made that fatal mistake of trying to duck a punch, and caught that one hitter quitter knee to the face.
all in all the live is a bit slower than the pre-taped show... but im liking the fact that we are following this season in more of a real time than all previous seasons...
the beef between Faber and Cruz is real, and I cant wait til they collide heads.

 Re: MMA Thread
Dana was awesome for allowing that dude to go home! That other dude was so beyond incredibly lucky to get the win!! He wasn't even going for a knee. He said he was going for a kick and it just connected with him. Oh and in the process knocking him the FUCK out, but still. He looked beyond shocked to have won. He won't do crap on the show while the guy that got knocked out is probably one of the best in the house.

 Re: MMA Thread
Booing has anything to say about schuab going limp, then reaching for the stars, and giving us his best popeyes face? Or the fact that jones shut Evans mouth the F up!
Hominids got his ass worked in round 1... But I felt he came back in 2, to win the round, and 3 was definitely his! He was robbed! He reminded me of old horror movies where the eyes are gouged out of the sockets... Yet he came back and I felt he won!

Seeing his spirit broken after those elbows started to connect was almost as good.

 Re: MMA Thread
This was the first I saw of Rory MacDonald. He was horrifying, he reminded me of the witches from Left 4 Dead. When Che got close enough he just got taken down and pummeled.

 Re: MMA Thread
Che Mills was an odd opponent for MacDonald, especially after he beat Nate Diaz and Mike Pyle. But I guess they want to build him up slowly, seeing how GSP is his training partner at Tri-Star, who knows where he will be able to go in the WW division. Personally, I'd like to see how he matches up against a strong wrestler like Fitch or Koscheck.

That 2nd round with the Korean Zombie is one of the best rounds in MMA history. Mark, you can watch it here: http://www.mmashareforum.com/serious-mm ... 55614.html

WOW! That was pretty damn crazy! It is amazing that he wasn't able to finish in the second round though, but damn what an end to the round! Thank you for sharing

Cain wants his belt back! I said 1 round for Cain and round one for JDS. JDS had the shot at round 1 too!
