I should have clarified - my comment was in regards to on-line gaming. Yeah, cheat codes can be fun sometimes on a single-player game. But people who cheat at on-line gaming are super lame - takes the fun out of it for everyone.

So I'm guessing people are just going to save their money for Stopping Power, Danger Close, and Commando then? Other than that, is there any big difference from MW2? How's the campaign?

Yeah, I don't understand the people who use cheats online, then brag about how they are just owning everyone. Well, of course you are winning, you have a clear advantage over everyone. They probably also do it because that person is probably some kind of schadenfreude.

No commando on black ops I use ghost, hardened, and ninja. The camera equip is fricking awesome. Best thing ever for search & destroy.

Just peeped a review about the multiplayer. Looks like they really did try to make it the most balanced COD MP. Thank god for no more stopping power and one man army. I don't know about the whole currency and "daily contracts" though. Sounds like they ripped that off from Reach.

Samurai Showdown Anthology for Wii came the next day, so we've been playing that & Tatsunoko vs Capcom.

In MW2 it was, but it's more like deep impact/stopping power on Black Ops.

More bullet penetration and I assume, more damage.

Glad to hear they nerfed the bullet damage, it was way too easy to kill in MW2. Sucks about sniping though. I heard treyarch immediately patched the game after release making it impossible to be quick with the sniper rifles. Sniping is what kept me interested in the whole COD series, so I'm not sure if I'll be picking this one up.

I could have told you that before release. The sales generated $360 in US and UK to beat MW2 by 16%...but people only bought it because it says Call of Duty from Activition. Oh...the money thing is nothing new, just a variation of an old fps game...leaves me disinterested in Blops.

Yet you've already accumulated 15 hours of gameplay? It's gotta be somewhat fun if you've played it for that long since the game only came out two days ago.



I know the currency in a FPS is nothing new, but the whole "contracts" to earn either more COD points or XP, is exactly the same as the daily and weekly challenges in Reach.

I think its pretty fucked up though that theses contracts have to be bought. If you fail the challenge you don't get jack shit, not even the points you spent to get the contract in the first place.

Just got Black Ops. Its good, I like it, at least way more better than Medal of Honor

I'm kinda thinking of picking up a game tomorrow (Wii) and was thinking either the new COD or Metroid... Outside of this thread I've heard a lot of good things about COD. I liked World at War, but I'm not a huge gamer. I think I'd probably like the new one.

I agree I played through Medal of honor in campaign and it was okay..but I am playing black ops right now and holy crap it kicks ass!
