I thought Gollum was great as Hannett, so yeah, it'll be interesting to see what may be a more realistic portrayal in "Control." Last night I was listening to a "forgotten" Hannett production, music by a band called Basement 5. Bass-heavy post-punk with heavy reggae influence. Love that early postpunk bassy sound. PiL's "Second Edition" ... that sort of sound.

He was the best thing about that film for sure. Totally mad genius. Yeah, I love the stuff you mentioned as well...fav from the early factory records era has to be the first LP and singles from Section 25...still amazing and fresh after 25+ years. I was bummed there wasn't more from them in that film.
