 Re: World Cup warm-up
pretty awful game to be honest,,,i don't think japan or england have a great chance in the grand scheme of things england played better,,but that is not saying much.. tulio scored the only actual goal 9 minutes in & then he scored the 1st own-goal 20minutes later nakazawa scored the 2nd own-goal even with the own-goals,,the japan goalie was good & frankie lampard let me down (2nd missed penalty in a couple weeks,,very rare for him)

 Re: World Cup warm-up
Is Lampard your favorite player on the Eng squad? Mexico beat Gambia 5 to 1 which is not saying much either, but it's always good to increase the morale before the big event. Now we are up against Italy. The real thing is closing in, and I must say... in general, most teams are not looking good, even Spain suffered against SArabia. But what I'm fearing most is Blatter stating that SouthAfrica is a really good team and that they'll make it through for sure... and that after seeing how the referee stole Colombia on their game! Fftttt:!: that's crap. FIFA helping out the local team. jebcrow wrote: even with the own-goals,,the japan goalie was good & frankie lampard let me down (2nd missed penalty in a couple weeks,,very rare for him)

jebcrow wrote: ANDY SPOILER edit:: england were shit..chances of even getting into the quarter finals is looking more remote by the day.. don't worry jeb. according to some very complex mathematics modeling done by some financial genius, England will win WC2010. If this model turns out right, England will achieve WC glory by their worst enemy in all past worldcup ---> penalty shoot-out. so I guess its ok for frank lampard to miss his penalties during these warm-up games.

Well.. I have to give it to you: Today, Walcott out of the WC. Cappello cuts him out. gforce wrote: He's not good enough...he's at an age now where if the talent was there it would have developed. Same thing with Theo Walcott at Arsenal - looked like he'd be world class but it's just not happened for him for whatever reason.

Re: World Cup!! The real thing!!!
dissapointed with mexico as well. they had numerous opportunities at the start of the game to score, buy they ruined them. good thing is that uruguay and france tied as well.
