Looks like the thought of Trump representing the RNP took its toll on Nancy as well

Too soon?

Unless your state has already voted, please don't let the media tell you that a vote for Sanders is a lost cause. Vote Sanders in the primary and he just might be our next president.

IMO he's the ONLY one worth voting for. I can't stand Hillary. She is - in my opinion - a politically correct, Democratic version of Trump. The veneers on the two are QUITE different, but at their core I find them to be basically the same: they will say anything in order to get a vote. They are both more about themselves, than the office they're running for. I don't trust a single thing either of them says. And that's why I tend to agree with nefasth in that Trump is actually the lesser of the Republican evils - I find Cruz to be FAR more worrisome.

On the surface Trump has said far worse things than Cruz. But I don't actually believe that Trump will build a wall and make Mexico pay for it, or any of the other various, far-fetched bullshit he's peddled to his bigoted, pea-brained supporters. Meanwhile, Cruz means EVERYTHING he says, and a whole lot more that he has the good sense NOT to say.

In the end, I think this election is coming down to one thing - ending the Bush/Clinton era of politics. Those families have held position in the White House for 35 CONSECUTIVE YEARS! The GOP finally told the Bush family to go home - unfortunately it happened in a cycle where they were among the GOP's best choices. Unfortunately for Democrats their party isn't willing to tell the Clintons that their time is up, and instead are forcefully railroading their right-leaning, establishment candidate down our throats.

Fuck Hillary. Fuck Trump. Fuck Cruz.

Oh trust me, I'm no fan of Hillary. She's shady as hell. Private speeches to banks, crazy email crap, her flip-floppy record of just about every issue... She's awful.
I honestly have no idea how our political system has messed up this badly that the front-runners on both sides are slime balls, but that's what it looks like it's going to be.

Also, I know this is not a "major world issue" but you know how our movie and video game industry is so heavily censored that an adult-content market (outside of purely pornographic in nature) is completely non-existent? Hillary played a role in the laws that made things that way. So next time you're wondering why a game like Fallout 4, clearly rated M aka 17+ aka FOR ADULTS, has no nudity allowed... You have Hillary in part to thank for that.
(And I guess you can also say thank goodness for modders.)

This piece on anti-intellectualism in the US dates from 2014 but is sadly à-propos: http://www.sott.net/article/313177-The- ... of-America

From the outside, it started funny, but is now truly worrying. We were faced with a similar choice in the provincial elections here a few years ago: xenophobia vs corruption. I'll take corruption any day of the week. We now have terrible, terrible people in power, but it's still better than the alternative.

It started off funny from the inside too Oli  Now it's fucking serious

To be honest, I am pretty positive Clinton is going to be our next President. The bottom line is our elections are typically decided by the female, black and latino vote. None of which (as a majority) will be given to anyone in the Republican party. Further, the RNP doesn't have to nominate Trump as their dog in the fight. The Democratic party is definitely a mess, but the RNP is completely broken and out of touch.

I found this article to be a fun read; http://www.thepublicprofessor.com/the-f ... u-to-vote/

at the 4 minute mark she says she has been more transparent than anyone she can think of. look how she tries to control the narrative saying she wanted her emails made public. if she wanted them public, why did she have a fucking private server in her bathroom that she tried to wipe (with a cloth?!) & fucking failed. This is what you want in the whitehouse?

I'd rather have someone lie about emails then lie to put the country into a war. But then Hillary is a warhawk so she isn't my bag either.

I've always wanted to see a timeline of the rights extreme hate towards Hillary. I doubt they cared about her much while they were doing everything they could to take down Bill. Then when they tried to impeach him for lying about having an affair (cheap shot in politics) it seemed the hate towards Hillary began since she stuck with Bill and the marriage. And that coming from the 'family values' people. Just a thought.

Good old straw man argument. I haven't seen any support of Hillary in this thread - all I've seen are people stating the obvious: that Trump is a DISASTER. But yeah - keep making your straw man arguments. Can I get an "All Lives Matter"?

^^^^^

If you're asking me the question "Would you rather have Clinton as your next President rather than Trump?" then my answer is an unequivocally "Yes!"

However, my answer shouldn't be taken as me being a Clinton supporter. I have always found political elections to be a vote for the lesser evil. And, if these are my choices, then I'm voting for the lesser evil.

Assuming Trump isn't a liar is just naive. Assuming Trump doesn't have questionable ties and business dealings in the world is naive. Assuming Trump is a choirboy... naive. Assuming Clinton is any of the aforementioned is also naive. Difference, Hilary isn't nearly as dangerous as Trump. Not by a mile. Not to mention she is certainly the best qualified... You don't deal with people or foreign governments by calling those representatives vulgar names or make threats. You handle things with diplomacy.

Trump is a fascist. Or at the very least wants some sort of albocracy

I think in politics, "lesser evil" is the key.

Yeah, that's what I was getting at. Even though people prefer Clinton over Trump that doesn't necessarily mean they SUPPORT Clinton. I loath her, but you can bet I'd rather her be in the White House than Trump or Cruz.

I know your liberal mental illness won't allow you to answer this question but honestly, why would Hillary NEED a private email server?

I guess national security isn't a priority for the Democratic party. You will vote for Hillary because your programmers have decided it's her turn.

Anyone but Hillary. I am still undecided but clearly both sides of the establishment are railing so hard against Trump because they know they can't control him. This country is in shambles & we don't need 4+ more years of what we already have, which is exactly what Hillary is.

Psilo, do you read what you post? You sound so much like the typical conservative caricature that's portrayed in the liberal media it's scary. I'm a victim of Poe's Law here.

Well, in Psilo's defense (not that he's asked for it or needs it), but aren't screaming Dems the same type of caricature the right wing media portrays?

Psilo may be the minority voice in this thread, but I honestly respect his opinion. Worse case is, if he votes for Trump, I will vote for Hilary and we'll just cancel each other out

Unfortunately, no. A healthy balance in debates is a good thing, but Trump does nothing to provide a healthy counter-point to the Democratic POV. As much as I despise Cruz - and think that his views are far more worrisome than Trump's (mostly because I can't take him seriously) - he at least has a modicum of thought and, dare I say intelligence, behind his perspective. Trump represents everything - EVERYTHING - that is wrong with our country.
There are respectable Republicans whose voices we need to hear - but unfortunately Kasich is the only remaining candidate who has any thoughts worth hearing.
