 Re: I heart Breaking Bad
That was a different gun I think. The gun Jesse had was his own, he was afraid of Walt, he pulled it out of his pants right? The gun Walt used was no doubt tossed in acid. It was a revolver I'm pretty sure.
I think Walt would have burned anything to do with Mike. He might be arrogant, but that's too big of a trail of evidence for him to have left. Mike's escape fund wasn't 5 million dollars (what I assume Walt gave Jesse, that's what he was owed.) It was 1 small leather bag. Not 2 big black bags.
Anyway, that's my take.
Again I'm guessing the only reason Walt would go back to ABQ from hiding/vanishing is if his family was in danger, the DEA wouldn't put his family in danger, gangs would. Why go back, why not just fight the DEA in New Hampshire?
I'm probably totally wrong, and going on wishful thinking, but that's still my guess.

I'd say it was his bomb more than Hector who blew up Gus & Tyrus, and it was Walt's orders that the 9+ lawyer be killed. So part kills on all of those! Bonus points Walter White.

All I could think of when I saw the storage unit was how stoked the people from Storage Wars would have been. I ended up having to cave and buy the newest episode. Totally insane, completely and totally insane. I am so bummed that we all have to wait until next year to watch it guys. :/

 Re: I heart Breaking Bad
Watched the pilot episode last night for the first time since it was originally broadcast. Man, what a difference from the current state of the show! Most of the basics are there, especially great writing and photography, but the character development wasn't quite as polished as we now know it to be. That's inevitable of course ... it was a pilot. There's lots of stuff that in retrospect seems like foreshadowing (e.g. the car wash) but probably wasn't intentionally so at the time. Really liked being reminded of what an utter milquetoast Walt was back then. What a long strange chemistry class it's been!

 Re: I heart Breaking Bad
I was blown away to learn it was all in a 1 year time span. I just didn't pay attention to that detail honestly. It's a series where I know once it's done I'll have to re-watch. Like Lord of the Rings (books), always some new stuff to catch.

I've seen both a couple of times and really enjoyed the second run (especially The Sopranos I first saw them years ago, so many characters and great moments I had forgotten).

 Re: I heart Breaking Bad
Still have Hell on Wheels Season 2 which is not as good (as BB) but still definitely worth a watch AND Walking Dead Season 3 which starts in 34 days. Some things still worth seeing on Sundays at least on AMC.

 Re: I heart Breaking Bad
Yeah, Sunday's prospects looks pretty good - HoW has definitely picked up, I'm into it now, and I will be giving WD a chance for a third strike or exciting rally, but what I'm really wating for is the return of Homeland. 'Prolly the only drama I like as much as BB.
Inane thought for the day: As it is sometimes said that the streets are paved with gold, I just noticed that Saul's office is carpeted in blue.

I suppose Walking Dead may be able to fill the void. Football sure as hell doesn't.

 Re: I heart Breaking Bad
^^^ It should be. I've never used it, but isn't Go supposed to have every episode of all their series up? That's what I remember from the ads. FWIW Comcast has all the episodes up on demand right now. It's not all about BB, but a significant chunk of Kevin's Pollaks' recent interview with Bob Odenkirk concerns a certain little show set in New Mexico. Viewable here, and probably lots of other places, too.

^^^ Thanks for the heads up on the Bob Odenkirk interview . . . . Always loved that guy and he's really great on BB. I just finished watching Ep08 of S05 and have to say I'm going to be really sad when this show ends

 Re: I heart Breaking Bad
Those are pretty damn detailed and accurate. Some thorough customisation right there. I wonder what Bryan Cranston would think of himself being immortalised thus in action figure.

I think his escape fund. Yeah, you're right, I just realized that those were probably the bags with the gun that Walt used to kill Mike. I doubt it. Mike's escape fund was barely enough to fill the one brown leather bag, let alone the two bigger tote bags he left for Jesse. Jesse was promised 5 million and I think after seeing his pile of money Walt didn't know what to do with it and decided to pay Jesse back. He said it himself he's not in it for the money, the "cook" was the only thing he had left, and now it seems like he was legitimately going to try and get his family back. Also I just caught up to BB tonight and the first thing that came to my mind was a fellow SBer claiming that the book was gonna come back to bite him in the ass.

 Re: I heart Breaking Bad
I'm re-watching Walking Dead season 2 (I finished it, haven't started on 3, but my wife needs to catch up so I'm watching with her) and in episode 2 when T-Dog needs some meds for his cut up arm Daryl gets his brothers "stash" and mentions meth. I noticed said meth was blue, an AMC-sibling nod?
SPOILER Side Note Also while goolge searching T-Dog's name (I coudln't remember if it was t-dawg or dog, does it matter) I got pissed because the 1st thing to pop up was a spoiler alert supreme. Fuck you google. My wife needs to catch up so I can see what's up in season 3 already!

It indeed was: http://artsbeat.blogs.nytimes.com/2011/ ... reference/Walking Dead's Greg Nicotero also did Gus Fring's Face Off finale make up...
