A big FUCK YOU to a company called "Natalie's Cleaning Services" here in San Diego.

They were leaving business cards on the doors of all the homes this past Sunday 1-2-11.
A friend of mine dropped off my camera and attached it to my front door.
He mentioned he saw a mexican man handing out cards at all the homes as he was leaving and noticed the man was looking in one of the front windows in my row of homes. As soon as he texted me to let me know he dropped off my camera I went outside and the camera was not there. There was only a business card.
I think we know exactly what happened here.

The company is faulty and not licensed-bonded-insured as they claim to be.
I checked them out and there is no record. The BBB has no information on them either. They have no physical address or email.Only a phone number.

The card says Free Estimates with a phone number. I have reason to believe they are scamming people and could be the
culprit in the recent burglaries in our community. The Free Estimates is a good way for them to look at your house and then have someone on their end rip you off eventually.
Especially if my friend saw this guy looking in someone's window.

My camera had sentimental value on it. All of my Holiday images and family......my little girl.......lost and gone forever now.

That's a pretty racist statemet there. And quite a bit of assumptions being made. My cleaning lady whom I have used for years does occasionally leave business cards for homeowners that she thinks are new to the area.

If you tried to look her up you wouldn't find info on her because she's just a one person business. Nothing fishy there

If you want to use circumstantial evidence you could also say your friend was acting suspicious by leaving your camera on the door even though he saw some suspicious activity going on. And were you home when he left the camera at the door? You said he sent you a text and you came outside to retrieve the camera. Why didn't he text you and give it to you in person?

The most common I know of is simply knocking at a door, if nobody answers, time to start checking back doors and windows. I don't know if any of you ever had to kick a door in, but it only takes a couple kicks at most.

If somebody answers the door, the person might ask you if so-and-so lives there, act like they're at the wrong house and walk on.

My friend is a property crimes detective, he interviews a lot of serial burglars. One told him he specifically looked for dog bowls or dog poo in the back yard, if he saw that, move on to the next house.

But anyways Irishstout, I would question your friend a little more, then after that, take a minute to calmly think about generalizing an entire group of people based on the perceived actions of one.
