Oh hey, didn't notice anyone else mention it, but caught some of it today: Jon Stewart's & Stephen Colbert's Comedy Central election night show...
Holy crap was that horrible. Really bad. Really, really bad.

Yeah, I thought I'd watch it but after about 5 minutes I switched back to flipping between the networks.
On the topic of booing: Did anyone get the feeling that people were booing Palin when McCain was talking about her? To me it sounded like a portion of the crowd was booing Palin.

Maybe they were. There were definitely McCain supporters who were appalled at his choice of Palin as a running mate. However while watching the concession speech, all I noticed is that they booed every time he mentioned Obama or said something supportive about him. By contrast, when Obama said conciliatory things about McCain during his acceptance speech, the crowd in Chicago applauded. McCain's concession speech was classy and dignified. The booing was out of step with its tone.

 Re: Election discussion thread.
this was the bit that got me. It leads me to blieve that he means a manafactured or non genuine threat. Like a plot. [quote]"Officials at the FBI and the White House told the Obama campaign that they believed a foreign entity or organization sought to gather information on the evolution of both camps' policy positions — information that might be useful in negotiations with a future administration." [/quote and from this one could postulate that it has allready begun.

The best. US Democratic presidential candidate Illinois Senator Barack Obama shares a fist b-ump with Ethan Gibbs, the five year-old son of campaign communication director Robert Gibbs, upon disembarking from his campaign plane at Dulles airport in Chantilly, Virgina, on October 22, 2008. Re: Election discussion thread.
Now onto the important stuff."We need to make sure that the dog is not afraid of loud noises because he may hear loud arguments in the Oval Office, and he mustn't be afraid of people with beards and turbans and so on because he is going to meet a lot of foreign dignitaries." Personally, if Obama was 100% perfect but he had some dog that did nutty stuff every now and then, that would be awesome.

In four years, Obama's going to have a lot of white hair, too. The job tends to age people.
