In this last episode, Walt burried the money is the exact same place as his first cook in the pilot epp.

In this last episode, Walt burried the money is the exact same place as his first cook in the pilot epp. I like that a lot more than the theory I put forth. I got around to scanning the Reddit threads and was amazed at how much "full circle" stuff I'd missed. E.G. the place where Walt buries the money is seen in the very first episode.

 Re: I heart Breaking Bad
Thanks for the link. It's an interesting read and a well-written argument, but I ended up feeling like it was contrarian at the expense of insight. Much of it was way off base. Mike was the only fully developed character? Jesse wasn't? C'mon. I disagree that the show fails to investigate Skyler's inner life. That aspect was't developed in an on-her-sleeve way (as opposed to a more "obvious" character like Marie) but it's very much there. That's why I've never hated Skyler ... she isn't just about self-interest, she's deeply in love with Walt no matter how estranged they often seemed. She cares about family as much as he originally did. That's why she was so distant, judgmental, "dramatic" for long stretches. If this wasn't obvious earlier in the series, it should be now that she's sided with Walt against Marie and Hank. The show is male-centric, but it's not sexist. I know not everyone here is pro-Skyler but for Anna Gunn's perspective, check this out. lMHO it's a fantastic column: http://nyti.ms/14qO5Pa

 Re: I heart Breaking Bad
Wow, I take back everything I said last week about Walter. He's sunk so low to be able to pull this off. He was one convincing man though, i'll give him that. When given the time to calculate things he's mastered the art of lying (when he isn't he blabbers like he did with skylar). I am sure the 'affection' he showed Jesse was just another part of his act to try to get rid of him. Glad he finally found out about Brock, though I hope that knowledge doesnt end up getting him killed..
And whats up with Todd telling the world about the train heist? I thought it was made clear to him nobody was supposed to know.. i'm sure this will be important later.

 Re: I heart Breaking Bad
Loved the scene in the Chevy's-style restaurant (or whatever that pseudo-Mexican restaurant was.) The tension between the Schraders and Whites exacerbated by the upbeat Norteña music, celebratory colorful papel picados and cheerful clueless waiter. So well played!
Wakey-wakey, Jesse!

We know the house doesn't burn down though, at least completely, as the first episode shows Walt returning to the abandoned house for the vial of ricin, and startling the neighbor into dropping her groceries. I look forward to seeing how the rest of the season plays out.

 Re: I heart Breaking Bad
5 episodes to go. I really think Jesse's not going to make it. Walt is going to put him in the ground. He's given him every chance to walk away and Jesse has become too much of a liability, even with Walt's obvious love for him. Jesse is going to pull some ill advised revenge on Walt and force his hand. As much as people have grown tired of and lost empathy for Walt, I find Jesse extremely annoying with his simplistic way of looking at everything. Again he was involved in illegal drugs with tons of shady dangerous people. Walt may have lost a bit of his humanity but he's kept them both afloat under much duress. Brock wasn't even his kid and in a short relationship he ended. Yeah you can argue that Walt's the great manipulator, but if it wasn't for him Jesse would have been dead or in jail a long time ago.
How does everyone see Todd & his Uncle's crew fitting into the final equation?

We're thinking alike. Todd respects Walt as a mentor but I'm not sure the Aryan Brothers feel the same way...

It's going to be interesting to see what stops Jesse from burning the house down. Also, that video confession was just, wow.

I'm pretty sure leaving loose ends like Todd and Lydia are going to bring him major complications, if not be his downfall. All that firepower i'm sure is meant for them. I don't see how Hank poses a threat to Walt now that he's orchestrated what seems like a perfect plan against his brother-in-law to immobilize his actions. Again, Todd's crew has been getting quite the attention these last few episodes, I'm sure there's a good reason for that.

 Re: I heart Breaking Bad
Walt's video was perfect! Jesse figuring out about the weed, okay, but how does that equate to risen and better yet.....so what. I get how he thinks about the risen, but Brock wasn't poisoned by risen. So Saul turning over like a total I FART A LOT for what?? I don't get that part. I also don't like the fact that Jesse has to hate Walt. I didn't see that coming and as of now not sure what to think, but Walt's video was still pretty damn smooth.

What cop yells at or threatens a baddy with 20 bodies under his belt who also knows where said cop lives, and all his other intimate details? "Tread lightly" indeed. Like move to federal witness protection.
Bryan Cranston's tighty whiteys: What men have you seen in their underwear? especially tighty whiteys? fathers, brothers... I think this is a trick to make you feel more intimate with the characters, more real. He did it a lot on Malcolm in the Middle too. This is my anal ysis

He figured out that it was Walt awhile back, saying that huell lifted it when Saul had him pat him down before a meeting .. Something like that. Walt then went on to convince him he was just imagining things, and used lily f the valley to poison him. There's a scene where he's spinning a gun in front of the flowers..something like that. I guess it's purposely vague and Walt may have put it in a juice box or sauls candy or who knows.

The M60 is such a crazy nugget to be hanging in the air. The pieces are coming together, but what in hell is going on with the damn M60?!? I thought it might relate to Declan, but that seems to have been shunted to the side in place of a battle with the supremacists or the DEA. And frankly both those ideas are just crazy town.

Does this show have any other analogues? I was trying to think about shows that fit into the mold. The Shield? Wise Guy? I think it could easily be categorized as the greatest pulp crime drama ever. Sopranos was much more of a rumination on family.

Did RJ really fuck up a spill a major spoiler on Talking Bad ? I even looked into a few other forums and I'm not alone. This is what I heard him say, right before Chris Hardwick nervously said o No we shouldnt talk about that, or something close ...
