My weekly complaint: Can they stop singing on WD? Please? I know it's the zombie apocalypse and maybe it calms you down but really? Awkward Tyresse! And Beth please, this isn't American Idol. I always feel like it's almost a promotion. Soon we'll be hearing this at the end of an episode: "If you liked Beth's singing go to amc.com and download it!"

She'll be singing live at Walker Stalker Con ... So it's no long before they actually do that.

Looks like AMC has renewed TWD for another season. Aside from a few quibbles I think this show has picked up given the new showrunner (who will be returning next season). It is not up to the level of writing as other great tv shows just yet, but i've definitely been enjoying these last episodes more than the last handful of episodes from s3.

I feel like they have deviated too far from the comic.. the whole virus thing is just pissing me off. I'll still watch the show but so far this season has been average.

Just watched S04E05 and i have to say I'm loving this season so far . . . it seems a bit more realistic or something.
I think it helps that a few of the characters that used to bug me have died.

I also read the first three graphic novels the other day and was surprised how quickly the story progresses in the comic!

I think I'm DONE after this season. I'll see it through, but meh. It seems so directionless. Plus, I want to know what fucking bacteria they got. Nope, not the flu, influenza's a virus and Glenn was getting cured by antibiotics. BULLSHIT!

Also, fuck Rick. Someone kill that ass. Carol was awesome. Bullshit that someone else wouldn't have done what she did and justifiably. I was starting to think it was Carl for a bit since he has a brain. That's what makes these situations interesting. Altering ethics and morals to the surrounding environment. They always change. They're almost always subjective. The world we lived in has died, and it wasn't all that ethical to start. Sometimes those concepts change too.

Those 2 fuckers were dead already as far as I'm concerned. She saved them from bleeding out of their eyes and being zombies. Who cares? It's not like they even had a damn solid plan at that point of what to do.

I could just do without the 10 fucking monologues with serious faces and voices to bring the point home every episode. Can these writers ever just create normal dialogue?

I liked some of the last episode, but lose the kids. They need to get this prison destroyed already, and not have a central location or camp for a bit. I like character development, but surviving on the road encountering bad groups and more missions could help the pace. Hey maybe the spin off will take place during outbreak...one can hope.

Yeah . . . I hope that's not the last we see of Carol.

Agree the pace is too slow. You know it's true when a second long sighting of the Governor is the best thing to happen in who knows how long. I just keep watching because I think how good it could be.

still can't shake Carols dead daughter walking out of that shed, i'm sure they will try to recreate that at some point. The only reason to keep the kids in.

I was honestly more disturbed with how she pretty much sent those two random hippies off to their deaths just to prove a point then I was with her killing sick people. Telling those two people to go gather some supplies was just downright mean. Everyone I watched it with knew they were dead as soon as she sent them off. So did Rick. They said themselves they need 12 shots to take down one walker. Plus one of them was crippled. You could tell she didn't think they were tough enough so she wanted them dead right off the bat. That in my opinion is going too far. So much worse then killing two deathly ill people. She just didn't want to have to bother teaching them how to survive which is messed up because she has no problem teaching little kids how to kill. Removing a threat to everyone is one thing but deciding people are too soft to live in the world the way she sees it is just crazy.

I actually though last night's episode was very strong. No ten minute speeches, no dumb useless plot devices that go nowhere, no long musical ending selling a song or having Beth sing. Pretty succinct, and leaves you actually wanting to know what happens next week. David Morrissey can act.

The show is confused with what they want the audience to feel for the character. They hit us over the head with how aweful this guy is for an entire season. Now with one hour episode were supposed to now flip that and feel for him ?

I was hoping we got very little of the governor and just moved on. Instead they gave us an entire solo epp with what seems much more to come.

Strong acting, yes, but to me way out of place, boring, confusing, and unessary.
