Been digging in my crates and pulled out some of my old creation wax so I've been listening to Ride, Teenage Fanclub & The Jesus & Mary Chain the past few days.

One of the greatest and most aggressive guitar solos Robert Fripp ever played, and Eno's lyrics were so deliciously perverse and cynical back then.


Bring the noise! I saw Ride open for Lush many moons ago. It was surprising how young they were. Lush were good but Ride completely blew them out of the water.

Er, not par for the course around here, but I've been listening to a lot of Renaissance music from the general Mediterranean region by Jordi Savall, the recently departed Montserrat Figueras and their ensemble Hesperion XXI. It might sound boring but it's not. Recommended if you like artists like Dead Can Dance.

In the warmer months, this is on constant rotation.

I saw him open for Atari Teenage Riot last year and it was literally the worst live performance I have ever seen.

he prob did everything he was aiming for then..
think he's shooting for weirdest guy ever award.

I only listen to his studio work, haven't seen him live..

I got an invite to their more recent show here in Philly and was able to watch the set from the stage (been backstage before, but... never ON stage. It was rad) which added to a great evening.

Their new stuff is more upbeat than their older stuff... but right now I'm going through a pretty hard time so the more mopey 'tear your heart out' older stuff is really helping.

It has been a long time since I have heard a hardcore record I liked. Not as good as the demo, but the Boston Strangler LP is a rocker.

New/Old Lungfish just dropped.

I was with music journalist friends once and they were making fun of me, saying if I were into Discord Records, I'd be into Lungfish and not Fugazi. Hilarity ensued when I admitted loving Lungfish.

I've had two dreams already about the Rammstein concert I was at earlier this month. It may drive me mad if it keeps up.
