If it makes you feel any better, I love all the Blobpus figures as much as anyone, but have had a very hard time landing any at all. You have some that I don't. The releases are so limited and the collectors are so competitive. It is indeed frustrating but all you can do is to keep trying.

I just wish the release numbers were a bit higher, and that more were sold via retailers. If I understand correctly, Blobpus figures (with the exception of some Blobpi and some other figures that make their way to S7) invariably sell out at the toy shows, so those of us in the West almost always have to rely on the aftermarket. I'm very grateful to S7 for the three that I got via them and to the kind board member who helped me with a particularly rare one, but ... there are sooooo many out there including relatively recent releases that I've been unable to land. I'd really rather not "support" the HK flippers which makes it even harder to find these items.

Long story short, regardless of what people are looking for, almost all of us feel your pain. :-)

Oh man, don't get me started! I was happy that the new batch of stuff includes 2 docross colorways because I don't need those. But the new kaijin dudes more than make up for it!

I think the blobpus guys have actually done well with the releases. The early stuff is impossible to find and unfortunately for collectors, alot of it is extremely cool. However, the reality was that when the first blobpus stuff was coming out, hardly anyone cared. Sadly there were plenty to go around with a run of 20 or less. I think maybe only a few people on SB even bought any (unfortunately I too was late to the game and both rue and lament that fact!).

The new stuff though is made in comparatively much bigger numbers and is fairly easy to get (S7 gets some, TT gets some, YJA etc.). Besides the Docross, I love the designs...even the LK and Dokugan (can't wait for the "green" mary jane version!).

Dokugan is amazing. That sculpt has real presence (and scale LOL.) I have no Docross or LK yet but would love to find the black stream Docross/blobpi set as I have the other black stream items. Nice colorway.

However, as much as it would be cool to find, say, the "secret black" or "black gem" blobpus, I know it's not likely. :-)

As regards not having enough funds to purchase all desired kaiju, I'm sure even the wealthiest of us can relate. I've always detested the CA lottery but ... hm ...

i'm not feelin' it too much... but i wonder if it is a metallic purple. anyways, i think they consistently have the most creative paintjobs out there (when i look at the old issue of S7... i only own a few btw, and they're the newer ones)

yea, that's the one that pushed me over the edge today. i wonder if there might be a clear purple at some point. how sweet would that be?
i feel fairly lucky despite my earlier outburst though. landed three more standard blob sculpts this week, GID, gold plated (thanks rhino), and clear orange lottery (thanks vga)!

There was a clear purple blobpus released a while back.
There's a clear purple blobguy on deck with these.

I like the new silver/purple colorway. I like that it's rough-looking.

What do y'all think about the Hawaii and Tokyo vintage colorways? I'm told that they weren't very well received at release time. At first I wasn't crazy about them for the same reason that I now love them ... they remind me very much of 70s kaiju schemes in a very 70s sort of way. Now I treasure having them.

Probably love the S7 Blob and the newer Chinese even more cause of the clear colours with highlights.

Yeah, I saw that Tokyo-Hawaii sale and the subsequent sale of one of them on the 'bay. Thing is, the pair that sold were by a former board member who had ripped off some people here. When he first listed them, they didn't sell. I assumed that was because RFSO'ers were boycotting him. Second time around, somebody got both for a lower-than-retail price. I hope the buyer actually received them! I found mine at S7 in the notorious locked neo-kaiju case. It was sort of like going to the SPCA ... they made little puppy-blob eyes at me and said "adopt! adpot!" Ugh. I'm such a softy.

That wacky psychedelic colorway is insane! I would have assumed that was a custom at first.
