Post I broke my first Wii safety strap today
but no injuries or damage.

I foolishly set the Wiimote down on the couch to grab a glass of water and when I sat back down I didn't realize I was on the cord. I tried to lift it up and the thing just gave so easily.

up until this point I really found it hard to believe that people were destroying their houses. but I honestly can't believe how this thing snapped with the most minimal of force.

Dude I thought it was BS too, than a week after the news, my 6 year old little brother broke it. Now I'm not saying he was just playing regularly, he just has no concept of grip and was whipping it like a fool. Luckily the Wiimote didn't break, but he was never alowed to touch the Wii without some strict supervision. I got 4 free straps from Nintendo, you need one?

I never contacted them because I figured I wouldn't have any problems and they would hold up.

I guess I will now though
