I really hate to burst your bubble on this BUT........
Vegas has NADA by way of toy shops. PERIOD.
As for comics shops, which usually double service as Sci/fi/statue/toy shops you can choose between three--- the one run by the old hippie who rambles on, while chain smoking, about how Jack Kirby is the second coming of Christ; the one run by the squirrley, nervous guy who sells only new releases and anime near the college; or the one run by the fanboy who overprices everything and makes money hosting Yugioh games after school. Oh, and there's FAO Schwartz for your LOR fix. hah.
And there is yet to be any good TAT shops ( go to LA ). There is one great cycle shop! in an industrial shop run by a killer Japanese guy whose English isn't beddy, beddy guud ( and his bikes are 40K anyway ).
As for touristy stuff, there's the Body exhibit at the Tropicana; The Bellagio watershow is cool and free; check out any of the Cirque De Soleil shows ( all very cool, it'll cost ya, but they're impressive ); Hoover dam at night is neat but check first, with the new security you might not get to go and linger @ night; the Imperial Plalace Car show is nifty; eat at Rosemary's off the strip ( my hands down fav ); I like the Bass Pro shop for it's taxidermy exhibits which rival most museums; and for visceral thrills go to the Stratosphere for some ass-kicking rides ( I got a 20 that says you won't go on all of them! ). And the Neon Graveyard is very Vegas. So there you have it.
But Hey, I live here, and am slightly jaded. And I'm waiting for anyone else in Vegas to know about toys that don't involve either batteries, or that the Vice squad wouldn't salivate over. Hope it helps.
