 Dr. Von Doom Okay, this has been bugging me lately...
For those of you that read Marvel comics/Fantastic Four, why would the villain Victor Von Doom call himself "Dr. Doom" and not "Dr. Von Doom"? Since he seems to be the kinda uptight kinda person who would always correct someone if they didn't say his name correctly, why would he truncate his name?
Discuss...
And while we're at it... wouldn't you just immediately think that anyone named "Von Doom" was just sorta destined for villainy? I bet he got teased a lot as a kid about it...

Not sure about the name. But I always did wonder what kind of doctor the good Dr. (Von) Doom might be.
