 Paypal question Has anyone who had received payment via Paypal when the buyer used a credit card gotten a screen asking if you would be taking more than 5 cc payments a year and wanted you to upgrade your account to a business one? I really wished I had paid more attention to it at the time.
I don't want to be comsidered a business by Paypal if I sell a few items for near what I paid for them. And I know this has been discussed before, but Paypal taking a cut if the buyer uses a credit card is a quandry.
If you figure the Paypal charges in when you place the item for sale; it is unfair to people who pay through their Paypal checking account.
Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

I dunno. But I've had PayPal take a cut when the person sending me money used their PayPal balance - so the way I look at it now is that PayPal takes a cut no matter what. It's BS.

If you don't do a lot of biz with them, it doesn't pay to get too complicated. The positve you get by having a biz account is that you can draw more than $500 a month from your balance.
And though it is aggravating, it is a lot simpler and smoother than doing transactions by check, money order, or otherwise. Consider it the high cost of doing buisness.

does anyone know the difference between a premier and personal account?
i just made a premier account but don't know if its the right one for me
all ill be doing with it is buying stuff from here and selling stuff too
should i keep the premier or downgrade to a personal?

Re: Paypal question I have a premier account. I had to upgrade from personal due to the fact that personal accounts have a limited number of times you can accept cc payments. Premier also has a higher fees percentage that they take from you. Only do premier if you expect to sell quite a bit. If you're just using it to buy stuff then it's better to stay personal.
