I see alot of new faces here lately and it seems that most of them forget some basic etiquette. What nobody introduces themselves anymore? To me just jumping in and posting away on a board without a basic "hi I'm new I'd like to join in the conversation" kinda thing comes across like some dude or dudette butting in on a conversation. Not trying to be an dick or anything just noticing some trends is all....respect ya'll

I think for one thing theres no specific "Introduce yourself" thread, thats sort of de rigeur of where to post your noobness and it threw me off when i joined. The OG hardcore nature of the board lends itself to watching what you say in the first few post in hopes you dont get verbally pummelled until you pee blood, ya know? I think they should throw down an official thread for that sort of thing.

Yeah the board intros thread should be a sticky so when newbs pop in they can clearly see where to pleade for acceptance, also since there's so many new folks they can read who WE are there.

where is the line between old school and newbie? i was at super7 the first day the store opened (long before i worked here), and read the magazine well before that, but have nothing on some of the folks here, especially brian, who im pretty sure completed his barom-1 collection before I had my first skeletor .
