Mazinger Z episodes (up until Friday)
My gift to you all. The first 10 episodes of Mazinger Z - all .avi files with subtitles. I won't leave them up long, probably not-so-legal. Tear down this post if you need to. Get em here, if you have Mazinger love like I do:

Hell yeah!! We got it all...Mazinger, Voltes V, Jeeg, Daimos, Grandizer, Gaiking, Uchuu Tetsujin Kyodain, Go Rangers, and a whole lot more....and then the President banned it all.
Thanks for the trip down my childhood, khanate

LOL. ole Ferdinand banned it cause it was interfering with our education. HA! It turned out that the Japanese company producing the programs wasn't willing to pay him the kickbacks he wanted. So they took all those cool shows with em back to Japan and told him to go screw himself sideways.

Hey thats cool! He wanted to milk those Jap producers too? hehe. I thought he was affraid of the last few episodes of Voltes V, where a revolution was brewing---
Good thing, it was aired, in full, when it was revived during the 90's by the best tv station in Manila--GMA 7! The initial telecast was awesome! The station got so many calls, many got goosebumps, so many were emotional, it was nostalgic. It was like claiming what is rightfully ours.

Thanks man,
I think the best thing about this kind of stuff (and books too) is you get context. Since most of these were shows/movies to see the actual characters in action makes a huge difference in seeing the toys.

Got a few PMs about codecs involved - just download VLC PLAYER (mac and PC versions available). It's free and it plays almost every type of media file.

He banned video games because they were interfering with education. He banned the TV shows because he thought they were too violent. Then after a few years, Ferdi and the family were exiled...and now he lies frozen in a big block of ice and his wife will sometimes sing to him. I don't really know how their kids turned out but I do know that Imelda isn't playing with a full deck of cards.
