 animal collective is beyond good seriously. anybody here into that noise? if not, theyre worth checking out for sure. their records are great and their shows are amazing.

yes, amazing. the show recently at the fillmore was great. people got a little wild with the hippy vibe, but it was in San Francisco so that is expected.

Sung Tongs was one of the best albums of the last five years or so. They are a good head and shoulders above just about anyone else in the "noise" spectrum. The recent EP with Vashti Bunyan was really sweet and touching also. I've never been able to catch them live though. Xiu Xiu and Deerhoof are both super live shows though.

im psyched other people are into animal collective. they rock my stuff. i also caught that show at the fillmore last month, and went nuts trying to track down a recording of all the new unreleased tracks they dropped their.
