Similar to Missy's thread, but different.

Post UToob tracks to tunes that you associate with a particular period in your life. All you have to do is provide the link, tell something about what was happening in your life then, and why you like (or dislike) the memories it envokes... Indicate vibe: positive (+) or negative (-) if you like. Yeah, this takes a minor effort, but I think the results will be interesting to all.

I am starting this off with a track by Colin Newman (Wire) from his solo "A to Z" album. I bought the vinyl at a Georgetown record store and recorded it to cassette tape to listen to in my car. This brings me right back to when I was in grad school in Washington DC. I would listen to this a lot while driving back and forth between our DC apartment and an internship I had in Leesburg, Virginia (a very conservative bastion where most people would have no idea what to make of Colin's music).

Saw Laurie in Washington DC. Excellent concert. Ran into her the day before the concert when I went into the bar where they were selling the tickets - she was sitting there having a drink and I got to talk with her for a while.
