 Mario Kart!
I seriously can't wait for this one! Such an awesome series, and it sounds like this might be the best of the bunch! Looking forward to the on-line racing and battles! And now it's got motorcycles!?!

I've been playing the last couple of nights with the dudes in the apartment next to mine. Really fun, and the number of tracks is astounding. I've found playing with the motorcycles on 150cc's is the best way to win. And also, the other characters don't win every race you lose, so you can still make a mistake in a race and win the championship. FOr instance, if Peach and you are tied for the championship points lead heading into the final race, you may find yourself in 7th or 8th place racing Peach for the championship. Or lets say you need to win the last race and have Toad finish 5th or worst. You can hit Toad with a red or blue shell and have just that happen. The multiplayer is nuts, on 150cc's some of the action can rival F-Zero for sheer speed and onscreen action.

Played it tonight at my friend`s house in Tokyo.
Awesome, like the Gamecube version but better.
Great fun with the Wii controller.
Also played Gradius 5 on PS2. Incredible....
Tekken 6 is out here too in the arcades.
Frickin` amazing!!

 Re: Mario Kart!
OMG! I just got Mario Kart a few days ago and it is SO MUCH FUN! I can't stop playing it. The on-line game play is incredible - so much smoother than Smash Bros. It's just like you're playing the computer it's so smooth. Anyway - for everyone that has a Wii, this is a must buy. And for everyone that doesn't have a Wii - buy one then buy this game!

Just got the game tonight. It's fun as hell. Driving with the wheel sucks, but it's fun.

 Re: Mario Kart!
playing with the wheel is too difficult to get decent time trials.

 Re: Mario Kart!
What controller are you using? I thought that the GC controller would work for this game, but I had mine plugged in and it didn't work. I kinda like the wheel, but I think I'd do better with the GC controller. Remember on past Mario Kart games how you could hit one of the top buttons on the controller to do a little jump before heading into a power slide around a corner? Is that not in the Wii version? That's a little disappointing.

 Re: Mario Kart!
there is a button on the back of the wheel to do your jump/powerslide
i feel like i do pretty well with the wheel. it takes a little getting used to so i don't oversteer
i tried to teach my wife how to play and i got motion sick after watching her oversteering for about 10 seconds

Is that not in the Wii version? That's a little disappointing. I've not played the Wii version, but Nintendo has gone out of their way to get rid of people snaking. So it wouldnt surprise me if they got rid of the jump entirely. Now that i remember, you couldnt do a jump in Double Dash either. You had to powerslide in order to get the blue sparks.
