The other pedal(the eq) was used during the recent incarnation of what they called "the misfits" and has no realy historical siginificance. not to mention ive seen them sell a ton of doyle "stuff". I'd say go for the distortion if you really want something genuinely misfits.
this pedal is probably worth 500 at the max. BUT if they had one of those screened cabs from 82/robo era. priceless!

Yeah the distortion pedal just looks better too, would be cool in a display with a plaque made to explain it. I think its going to go for a bit more than 500 unfortunately
So this seller is pretty legitimate then?

they were selling the screen for the cabinet a few weeks ago for a few thousand. i think doyle is shedding the "doyle" name in favor of his new moniker "gorgeous frankenstein" lol, or the dude is broke

I didn't see a guitar. any pics?
As far as I know, Doyle is still "Doyle" he even does the makeup and all, he's just in that band with his wife and Danzig produces.
I remember a few years back Eerie Von was unloading tons of cool/one of a kind Misfits and Samhain shit, wish I had the money at the time to have struck. Lots of missed gems.

I guess Gorgeous Frankenstein wasn't the money making monster Doyle was hoping it would be... probably because it really sucked!
I bought a bunch of stuff off his brother Kenny a while back, and I recently saw he was selling a bunch of stuff on Doyle's behalf, like a pair of New Rocks that he wore and sweat bands and whatnot.
Does anyone know if that Annihilator actually sold?

I remember this. he sold a huge crimson ghost cardboard cutout they brought to shows with them. I still really want one of those ruby records halloween bags.

Yeah, I think Doyle is trying to get rid of the Misfits memorabilia because he doesn't want to really just be known for his work in just that band. Anyone know why he quit in the first place? Did Glenn get to him?

I think that him and Jerry had a big fall out. On the insert for Gorgeous Frankenstein, if I remember correctly, he says thanks to everyone but Jerry. Plus, I think the fact he worked with Danzig was a real slap in the kisser for Jerry Lonely. He's become such a marketing machine its disgusting.
Here's a quote from one website:
By the way, I'm STILL waiting for Officially Licensed Misfits Tampons, Toilet Paper, Medicated Hemorrhoid Pads, Adult Diapers and Erectile Dysfunction Medication. I don't know about you guys, but at this point I'd love to have something emblazened with the Crimson Ghost to wipe my ass with. Did I say Crimson Ghost? I meant the Arch Fiend.
It's become all about what he can slap the Misfits logo on, and make as money as possible from. I have a friend who makes some licensed Misfits merchandise, and told me a few interesting things about the way Jerry runs the Misfits 'business'. Its really quite sad, and I can see how people have distanced themselves from him, including his brother(s). Lets face it, no new material released since Famous Monsters back in 1999/2000. He has done nothing but flog the dead horse that is the abysmal 'Project 1950' and take his 'Jerry Only and the all star Punk Line Up' on countless tours. Where's the new album? surely in 8 years he could have put an EP, or some demo's out....?
Sorry for the rant, but its a sore point with me. I LOVE the Misfits, both Danzig and Graves era's, I chopped my waist length hair at one point to have a devilock, and I got a Misfits tattoo, because I was proud to be a fan. Unfortunately now it (the current state of the band) is just embarrassing.
*gets off soapbox*

Oh it gets better....
Did you hear the 'Misfits Meet The Nutley Brass'? Its a brass band playing Danzig era Misfits tunes. Sounds like something from a James Bond movie or something. Even worse than 'Cover Album 1950'
You have to hear it to believe it, really.

Hehe...that picture. How can you put on a face that serious when you look exactly like a bad parody of yourself 30-odd years ago?
I think the moment I realized the current Misfits had totally and irrevocably lost it was when they started selling Misfits watches with neon rubber spikes on the bands.
edit: I have to hear that brass band cover album. I really believe that the musical nuances of Return of the Fly can only be expressed through the majestic tuba...

The nutley brass covers are great for playing in a tiki bar or if you have an elevator in your office building you want to add some punk flair too. PLUS it came with a really cool coaster.
I am not suprised that pedal went for that much at all, I was in for 1200, some older vinyls go for well beyond that not suprising a legendary piece of equipment used to make what I consider to be classic music went for so much.

I also heard that there is actually going to be a new Misfits album this year.
I thought these fret indicators were cool though.

So did the rest of the Fiends on the planet. Unfortunately Jerry has been saying that for years now.
Its boiled down to a case of 'believe it when I see it'.

Jerry was quoted as saying the new album will be in the Earth A.D. vain. How the hell is he going to pull that off.
