 F the management
I had to give up my dog yesterday, and I have had her for over 6 years.the owners and the managers in my apartment changed and I was given 3 days for my dog to be out or I had to move..which is really hard in LA if you dont have lots of $$$ for rent and good credit.so I'm pretty depressed and just trying to keep on..but life sucks today..this is my last pic of snow..shes in the amanda foundation shelter in Beverly Hills I figured it was the best one and its not a kill shelter and they have a good adoption rate..

that's horrible news. I'm so sorry for you! I can't even imagine how that must feel.
well, at least she's off to a good place where she'll likely be picked up and well-loved.

sorry to hear that. I would have left the apartment building, but that's just me. Kind of a downer post, dude. I wouldn't have sold my dog out...and I live in LA too. Not judging you or anything, jsut sayin'

I don't know what I'd do, for once I'm glad I live in the Midwest. Because if someone tried to make me get rid of my dogs, I would move out the next hour.

sorry to hear that. kinda fucked that you only had three days, it doesn't seem that three days would be appropriate notice for compliance.

the building i lived in originally had no pets allowed and the manager said it was ok just keep her quiet and dont bother other residents..she also had a dog so she was cool ..but then all of a sudden the ownership changed and I get all types of shit from the new manager shes a real nazi about everything plus I'm not the name on the lease. andmy car is also gone now so it makes everything else even harder..sorry for such a sad post but I dont have anyone else to talk about this with.

Yeah I live in LA and I"m familiar with cost of trying to move on a moments notice and the cost of rents, deposits, ect. It's not as easy to pick up and leave a situation as some people might think. If I was able to keep animals I would go rescue her for you in a moments notice. Maybe there is someone on the board in the LA area that will read this and go pick her up. My heart goes out to you and your daughter.

I know what your going through.I had to move on short notice too, and had to give up my Pitt, Chino, who I had for 3 years.I begged family and friends to take him , but no one would help me out.I ended up giving him to some dude, and I have no clue if he is still alive today or what.I was put in a hard spot, move into some trashbag apartments, and have to worry about my wife and baby girl while I was away at work for days at a time and be able to keep the dog, or move my family into a nice place that didnt allow pets.I was a hard decision, but I had to choose my family over the dog.Its easy for people to say"fuck it, I would just move man, you make me sick for giving up your dog!" (which some one did tell me by the way) but Im sure most of those people dont have kids, and DOGS ARE NOT KIDS.
