The feets say "Globe Stars" for those who may not know.
It's Katakana, so it's Japanified English.

The name I found for him is: Baruden Seijin (バルデン星人)

Literally translated it is: Person from the Planet of Baruden, so personally I'd call him baruden

Edit:
I guess my english translation was wrong, but I found a yahoo J! auction with this same dude and it was titled: 限定怪獣ソフビモンスターズ:グロブスターズ:バルデン星人

Did I get the name of the dude wrong too?

thanks for replies. i see the vintage models are
called the Baruden Seijin as well but is it tied to
a show or manga or just an original character?

I think these models were original patchi-kaiju, hence the popularity in reproducing them in vinyl form. Marmit and its relatives, Target Earth, Skull Head Butt and Globsters, seem to have a special fondness for these kits.

After a little research, it looks like Baruden Seijin is actually a repackaging by Ikkou Mokei of the Hedoro plamodel from Arii:

As a sidenote, the Maguran Seijin character is also apparently a plamodel original, again a repackaged Arii model released (?) by Ikkou Mokei:

I always thought that the Maguran looked like the Sumoka kit, but this seems to explain it.

I think Marmit also expressed interest in producing these old kits a while back on the Marmit Plus blog. Let me see if I can dig up the post.

Anyway, I feel like I've seen these images bouncing around the boards before, so probably nothing new. Thought I would post since I didn't realize the full connection between the Arii models and the Globsters toys. Also, search function borken still.

Credits for the Arii models to the famous patchi-kaiju card website, and credits for the Baruden Seijin image to the Nandemoplamo brog.

WOW thanks! I have been looking around
for the second kit pictured and always have
wondered about this characters origins.

2 board friends helped me get that mini
and others from that set from the summit
& i like it a bunch for no particular reason.

its sort of "grimace-like" and has a lot of
charm. thanks for going into detail with
the response, that was very cool of you.

would love to see marmit or any company
do a standard size vinyl figure of it. maybe
that will happen, i sure hope so.
