My 360 turned into a Wii!
I'm digging game installs to my HDD. It's so much quieter now!

So what do you guys with 360s think of the NXE update?

I'm just about to sit down and spend the rest of the night monkeying around with it. Post thoughts later. Unless I get distracted and just play GOW2, Saints Row 2 and Fable 2 instead. Anther fun-filled friday night.

I like it too. I think the avatars are a little bit of a rip off, but overall, the new layout is nice. It'll take a little getting used to though.

Sorry everyone, sort of unrelated, but do the 360 controllers work on a PC? I'm pretty sure they do, but I just want to make sure before I go out today and get one. I was thinking about picking up Fallout 3 for Windows, and I really like the 360 controller. I have thought a lot about getting a 360, especially for Live Arcade (I love Castle Crashers), but in general I think it makes more sense for me to play these games in Windows.

360 controllers will work on a PC - google it and find the program or whatever you need to let yer PC recognize the controller and have fun!

The avatars ARE a tad of a rip off but as long as they keep releasing new upgrades( clothes etc) it will be a hit

here's a little "easteregg" that was found

If you go into your avatar editor, and select Change Features (where your hair, and nose, and things are), if you mess around with your Avatar for a few minutes (shaking and nodding his head, etc) the hair icon will rotate, move cursor to hair and click. you will hear a noise and your hair will be pink. Select your hair style, and now you have another page of colors including red, blue green, pink, purlpe, and a couple other shades. Keep in mind that if you remove an "unnatural" hair color, you will have to do the trick again, but if you keep one, they will remain there.

As manimal said, the USB controllers work great in windows, you can download the drivers for the controller at MS's website (dont buy the 'PC' version of the controller, its no different, it just comes with the drivers in the package and is 5 bucks more). They also make a dongle that you can buy to use the wireless controllers with a PC, it's awesome.

Have any of you guys played any high-performance Windows games under Parallels? I regularly play Sim City 4, Heroes 4, Civilization, and some other games just fine, but nothing all to demanding, but Fallout 3 would be quite a bit more intense. I have a 17" 2.6Ghz MBPro with 4 GB of RAM, high res display...Think I'll be okay? I could always just boot into Windows too, but just curious.

Depends on which version of parallels you are running. Version 3 only had DX 8 support. I think the new version supports 9, but only some of the shader functionality. Regardless, it's probably going to run like ass. I would just boot into windows honestly.
