 Toys for Tots
Hey everybody, I just wanted to interrupt the usual nonsense around here for a minute. Its the holiday season and this time of the year is the time for toys. I'm sure we all have fond memories of Christmases, Hanukkahs, or whatever when we were kids and the delight of getting some really sweet toy that made all that good behavior worth it... =) (Hell I still look forward to getting at least one toy at Christmas.) Now we are adults and have our mad quests for Bemons and Boogie men and Spacetroopers, and we can't forget there's a lot of kiddos out there that could use a toy is season to brighten things up! I think we all know how toys for tots works, right? If not, just ask and I'll explain. So I'm just asking everyone to think about it next time they are at walmart or Target or whatever- Grab a toy while you're out to donate- hell, grab 2 or 3, kids toys are cheap compared to what we spend. Hell, donate a Godzilla toy or something, and get them started early. Every kid should get something on the holidays. http://www.toysfortots.org/phil!

My wife and I always buy a quantity of gifts for TfT, and I encourage everyone to do the same.

We do a drive for a local charity here at work, but I've found that it's sometimes productive to just visit the comic shops in your area who might have some older toys clogging up their shelves and be willing to give them away.

Thanks for posting this - I always try to give to TFT. Like Phil said, it's small potatoes compared to our expenditures, and man, it must make kids really happy.

 Re: Toys for Tots
When I take my neices and nephews to buy their Xmas gift from me, I also have them choose a toy to donate, then we take it to Toys For Tots and I have them put it in the box. I'm a firm believer in this charity.

 Re: Toys for Tots
I donate through a charity here at work.
I take a kid's name each year and buy them what they want. This year the kid I picked is getting a new discman, the sorry! board game, uno, and a new winter coat.
It makes me feel good knowing that a kid somewhere has something to open on Christmas morning.
nice post. be charitable as much as possible this holiday season!
