Post Brad Warner Leaves Tsuburaya Productions
Brad Warner, who has been working for Tsuburaya Productions (the creators of Ultraman) since the early 1990s, has resigned from the company. They moved him to Los Angeles from the Tokyo office about four years ago to run the US operations. I imagine, due to the reorganization under the new ownership, the LA operations must be shutting down, as Brad said his job there became "nebulous" in 2008. They offered Brad his old job back in Tokyo, but he has declined in order to further pursue his writing career.

I wish him all the best!

Post Re: Brad Warner Leaves Tsuburaya Productions
Here's a follow up from Brad: "I wouldn't say Tsuburaya is shutting down its LA operations. They're still actively working on getting an Ultraman movie happening in America. They won't have an LA office (at least not in the immediate future). But, then again, they haven't really had one since 2006 when they closed the space we had in Century City.

The new management is far more interested in the US market than the previous one was. So I think the movie will actually happen. Without me involved I don't know if it'll be any good... (insert smile emoticon here) But still, I think they'll really do it this time. Here's hoping for the best!"
