X-Men Origins - Wolverine... for real
Oh god the was a disappointment. It really need to be darker, no charactor development and just generally blah.
Though there was so much cgi, I don;t know how anyone could watch the working version of it.
I haven;t read any of that thread, knowing I was going to see it so I might be repeating what has already been said, but.... meh... And deadpool? seriously? Shit.

I'm guessing all the finished CGI didn't make the movie any better.

Re: X-Men Origins - Wolverine... for real
I'm sure watching the work print is more entertaining...the movie is complete and utter shit...but seeing the wires and stuff made it funny. The finished CGI (which I'm sure sucks anyways) can't save this movie.
When this movie bombs, the studio execs will complain that it was the leak that killed the box-office reciepts. What they don't understand is that this movie just plain sucks...

They are probably the ones that leaked the print so they can blame it on why the movie failed ...covering their asses for green lighting such a turd!

Re: X-Men Origins - Wolverine... for real
The claws are pure cartoon. I mean, metal is hard to replicate, but there's one scene when he first gets them and it is straight out of roger rabbit. Character development is abysmal throughout. Will.i.am is only in the film so he could be in the film. Strangely only the Blob made sense to me as a character, which is pretty sad. Gambit was shit. Deadpool was farcical. I could go on and on.
The early reviews I am seeing after the pre screening here are pretty dire.

Who Will.i.am is? I actually am not entirely sure... but someone important enough to be allowed to spell his name stupidly and get a high billing. But when he becomes Deadpool, yeah, he is a bit MK, and waaaaaaaaaaay over the top.

Re: X-Men Origins - Wolverine... for real
I'm surprised that you are surprised at how bad it is.. The preview looked terrible to me. Especially with him flying up towards the helicopter. Or when the old man gives Wolverine the jacket? CMON
Instead of fleshing out and developing the character...it looks like the threw in gambit, deadpool, emma frost, cyclops and whole bunch of unneccesary elements...so people would geek out.

When I saw the preview, I was wondering why they kept listing other mutants in the movie. I thought this movie was supposed to be about WOLVERINE and his origins? Now it seems like X-Men part 4.

Re: X-Men Origins - Wolverine... for real
Thanks for the warning. I saw the movie toys and Deadpool looked nothing like the comics character. And who is Wraith supposed to be? I agree; there seems to be too many mutants in this film. I may wait and rent it.

Re: X-Men Origins - Wolverine... for real
Never really liked the other X-Men films, so I'm not even gonna bother watching this one. I'll wait till its on dvd and put in on my Netflix queue.
I'm more excited about the animated series finally on dvd. Definitely gonna pick up the first two volumes this week.

Who I am sure, purely coincidentally, have a #1 single right now on the cusp of the film's official release.

Re: X-Men Origins - Wolverine... for real
I'm pretty sure Wraith is Kestral. But it doesn't really matter, like I said, he is only there so he could be in a movie, and as it turns out, sell some MP3s on iTunes.
I should say, just to be fair, the person I saw this with enjoyed it as a film, but agreed with me on all the stuff that killed it for me, somehow she was able to put all that past her. Then again, she wasn't overly familiar with the comics. Dunno, maybe people will like it, hell people watched Mall Cop and all sorts of other bollocks.

John Wraith is who WillIam is playing. Maverick is another character entirely.

Re: X-Men Origins - Wolverine... for real
Why make a Wolverine movie and fray it out with a bunch of freshly introduced, other mutants. Disservices an already crap series. It is nice to see them 'real', though...

Re: X-Men Origins - Wolverine... for real
when i saw the deadpool toy and movie shots i knew it was gonna be all fail. they are taking too many liberties with these comic movies, and just fuckin up the storyline altogether. even now my head is hurting with rage. i dedicated an entire blog post to it to calm myself down. i mean why do they feel the need to alter the storylines. hell you could just grab the comic and fill in the time to make it long enough to be a full movie. the stories have lasted this long for a reason.

Looks like I'll be passing on this one. I was actually kinda excited about this until I saw the TV ads (which really suck)..

Re: X-Men Origins - Wolverine... for real
A terrible movie.
The actors were actually decent and deserved a better script. But the plot is so convoluted and the unnecessary plot "twists" ruined it. And the CGI was so bad. I mean laughably bad.
